What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Congrats! I'm happy for you. I'm doing something pretty boring in comparison. I'm removing my window weather stripping, wet and dry sanding them, and dying them black.

I dont know, I think I could get some paint correction work done and maybe get away with spraying the bumpers bonnet and mirrors, I'm not too knowledgable when it comes to paint, I'm going to take it to a detailer, and body shop.

It's ok, for its age, it's only been in the UK from 2017, it has more sun damage to the clear coat than anything else, I'm going to get some prices for a re-spray next week, I dont think I will have much change out of 3k.

I was shocked how well it came up with the clay, it's getting 2 coats and a sealer tomorrow. Of course I was on the track 😉😂😂

I've used a clay bar today on the paint, it has come up pretty well, I am wanting to respray it eventually. Took her for a spin, I'm getting a bit sick of maxing out at 115 mph being a JDM though.

Got my wipers and window trims back and fitted, I think they look excellent, hopefully the finish is durable.

Thanks for the add
Very simple, the hard part is finding someone to spray them, I took them to 3 powder coaters, and the one that took them on got a friend of his to spray them, they are too flimsy to powder coat. I got my wiper arms done at the same time, I need to get the door window trim done, they look rubbish now Best £100 I ever spent

👌Those faded trim pieces above the windows are nasty. I'm picking mine up from the powder coaters tomorrow, I will show some before and after pics, hopefully if it stops raining.

Newbie looking for advice please!
I'm not a mechanic! If you can you use thermal imaging, or take temperature readings around the block, and system to check for hot spots before a coolant flush and swap Its cheap, easy enough to do and you could get a good idea of the contamination levels in the system. Are the fans kicking in correctly, is the the sensor that controls them operating at the right temps.

That's very competitive. How much lower does the exhaust hang, I'm considering a similar upgrade from Richard Henry. It's easy to spend a lot if money on these cars, I'm trying to be sensible, with the budget for now The turbo rebuilds start at about £300 and then extra upgrades can get you upto £500-£1000

I have been looking into turbo refurbs, they can uprate the internals for considerably less than a new one.

That sound a nightmare, I'm looking into just uprating discs and pads for now, I have 4 pots on the front and 2 pots on the back, they are cast iron so don't dissipate heat as well. I've read somewhere 326mm discs for the front with 17's but not sure about the back. I'm hearing nothing but good things from Richard Henry. What sort of power gains did you see from the exhaust.

Thanks for the input I am considering keeping it stock, and just replacing the items that have faded and deteriorated over time. Or some subtle upgrades like turbo refurbishment, and the other things mentioned. Do you know any good turbo rebuilders? It is rare but holds no real value at the moment. I can find a few stockists for parts like ICP. It's only been in the UK 2 years and clean enough to eat off the underside.

Hello everyone I've purchased my first Subi, its standard currently, I have plans for upgrades, got myself a reliable tuner who can write to my ECU, I'm considering De-cat largest possible stainless setup to turbo uprated fuel pump, uprated panel filter and remap. (Tuner reckons 320-350bhp) I'm struggling with body stiffening, i can't find any low profile under body braces for the job. (Any suggestions would be welcome)
