  1. That sounds like something either went catastrophically wrong or a sensor/computer problem. If you sit it at 50mph on 3rd for 15mins as soon as the first light comes on it should clear it. You need to do this as soon as the light comes on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. My wife does about 25 miles to work in heavy traffic, once a week we swap cars and I belt it up the motorway. Run it in 3rd gear at about 50mph for 15mins as apparently this will force a regen if one is needed. Cars done 36,000 dpf light hasn't come on and service have never had to regen it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. A dealer or a garage with the kit can run a forced regen which should clear most cases without having to pressure wash it. But if that doesn't work then try anything because a dpf isn't cheap Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. My grandfather was Sicilian, and I'm not even joking, his brothers apparently knew the Krays so I could use that tack [emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Well I contacted Subaru UK who have told the dealer to do the work, but they're only doing the same repair as last time, well as that didn't work in not holding out much hope this time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I'm awaiting a callback from the consumer advice line and Subaru UK. I'm also waiting for The Dealer to come back with their proposal. I imagine they'll just ignore me now. Big mistake! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It's not the car it's the dealers, I'm just waiting a call back from the consumer advice line. And from the dealer as I've told them I'm not taking the risk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Just having a massive row with the dealer who fixed my seat a few weeks back, since they've done it its collapsed again, Subaru UK want the seat stripped down but won't accept the cost if nothing can be found, which is fair enough because it'll be due to the dealer doing something wrong, only the dealer wants to put that cost risk onto me. So basically, if they can't find why the seat has collapsed, even though the dealer has accepted its collapsed and that they previously repaired it, it'll be my cost. I know what will happen, they'll find its a couple of clips come undone and then tell me they couldn't find anything and that'll be £200 please. So they ***** up and I end up paying for them to fix their ***** up! I'm fuming so I'm having a rant, sorry Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Are you £4k richer then? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Guy down the road from me in Stafford selling an Impreza, Silver blob eye I think. If anyone is looking for such a beast I'll pull up and get some details next time I'm passing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Lovely part of the world, we were in Snowdonia a couple of weeks ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Where about in Wales are you hanging out? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. They're cheap, and to be fair a lot of car for the money Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Pulled up alongside an Impreza today stopped looking at a flood wondering if he could get though. I said I'd go first and check it out but it quickly became obvious that he wasn't getting through the 2ft of water that was there. He shouted thanks to me for saving his car and we went on our merry way. My good deed for the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Well tonobwfc, keep an eye out for s dark grey XV c Because we're heading up Stoke and stone way shortly [emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Would t surprise me it's a Nissan Qashqai. They all seem to think they own the road Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. When the woman in the ford KA ran into the back of mine she totalled her car, and just scuffed the bumper. However it cost over £2000 because she sheared the exhaust mounts and bent the rear cross brace, with the new bumper it soon added up. She hit me car so hard it pushed her engine back into the dash, pushed the bonnet up the windscreen and bent the car so much that door tops stuck up above the roof. Not that I was too worried about her damage. We just left her be the roadside waiting for recovery. The first words she said were "I wasn't on the phone, if that's what you were thinking". That answered that question Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Must have bent something when the car twisted around the front end after the impact. At least you'll have nice new steering now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. They've seen so many of these they've probably already spoken to the other insurers who've already decided their client hasn't got a leg to stand on, our insurers didn't even need the footage. Nice to have your back pocket though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Yep, I've looked at your vid, clearly within your rights and your lane to proceed around the roundabout as you did, the other driver is banged to rights. Looks to me like he was accelerating as though he was going to overtaken you as you came off the roundabout but hadn't figured on you not turning off. Hope you're all ok. Wife got hit from behind in my car, woman cloaked t was our fault that she hit us because we hit the car I from first. The dash cam clearly showed, even though only showing forwards that she'd come to a stop and then the car behind hit her and pushed her into the car in front. Case solved. Dash cams are essential these days because people are just looking for someone to payout. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Only thing I can think is that the revs drop off turbo so you have to wait for it to spool up again. What you describe is turbo lag, if you change 2nd to 3rd so revs stay above 2k you shouldn't have that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Not sure why you've got a 2 second lag, I don't get that feeling in mine, mine seems to pull straight off the line. I tried putting shell super diesel in mine and to be honest it didn't like it that much, made the car a bit jerky. So might be a case of seeing how yours goes if you try a super fuel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I think that's just the boxer diesel, I know that the 2.0d forester is the same, guessing the outback diesel is too. I tend not to mind because it does pull well and surprises a lot of other cars at traffic lights if you're in that frame of mind Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think if you've posted on it it should come up on your dashboard. We're going camping and need to take a load of stuff, we looked at buying the bigger Forester but for the extra cost we decided it would be cheaper just to drive 2 car loads down for the couple of times a year we have to do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. All the diesels rattle when cold, I had a brand new one the other day that rattled until it had warmed very quiet after that. I think it's just a characteristic of the boxer diesel. Is it ok when warmed up? Mines a but rattly when cold but is fairly quiet once warm, until you open the taps up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
