  1. Welcome! Big it up for the 54 plate blobs!! :D
  2. So many nice cars on that website... I wish I never saw it now... HNNNNNG
  3. Excellent, YHPM
  4. Dark grey is a personal fave of mine... it goes with almost any body colour :D
  5. This is the stuff: http://www.halfords.com/motoring-travel/cleaning-body-repair/detailing-products/autoglym-bumper-and-trim-gel-325ml
  6. So no hesitation after gear changes or anything like that?? Gives me hope that I could just fit a VTA as opposed to plumping more cash on a hybrid one :D
  7. I 2nd the auto glym stuff... it's a thick green goo that works really well!
  8. Noticed in some other threads about doing ECU resets after minor mods or using higher octane fuel. I am only the 2nd owner of my scoob and the previous owner only ever did around 3k miles a year and since the car was completely standard, I'm questioning whether they used high octane fuel (which I have always used shell v-power with the occasional momentum 99). Been doing some googling and some say just disconnect the battery (negative terminal only?) and press the brake for 30 seconds to deplete all charge. Then I've read that with some imprezas it can only be done via software on a laptop plugged into the car. My car is a 2004 blob WRX, can someone confirm whether the disconnecting the battery technique would work? Ta :D
  9. Let me know how you get on with the BOV... I have a black blob WRX as well! Good choice... :D
  10. Can these be taken off with a standard wrench? Look longer than standard wheel nuts...
  11. Fitted new wiper blades... that wonderful feeling of having blades that don't make a sound and are streak free... it's the simple things
  12. I bought it for myself... doesn't seem to run great on AMD tho...
  13. No worries! I'm considering getting a set for my car as well!
  14. Drop down list allows you to select 08 onwards... Can't say I can recommend it but I would imagine for the price it would be good quality. http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=181&products_id=1300&osCsid=fd8rjspa04ggjcupqa7nt7toi2
  15. Dunno what constitutes "doesn't cost the earth" but i think the sets that scooby world do are pretty reasonable: http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=203&products_id=97
  16. I'm amazed it lasted 5000 miles with no oil!! Can't possibly comment on how long it will last but I would imagine running the gears with no lubrication will significantly increase wear on them...
  17. If you're on PC and you like the pace of old school Sonic games, you should check out Action Henk... I've got around 30 hours in it and it is brilliant!! And if your steam friends have it, you can see their times and race against their ghosts!! Brings out the competitive side :D
  18. I would put the original valve back on just to test... at least rule it out for sure and should only take a few minutes to swap over. Does it only happen when on boost? Possible failing fuel pump? I'm not overly clued on here as much as a lot of other people :D
  19. My first inclination was a VTA dump valve as they can (but not always) cause hesitation after a gear change due to all the air that would normally be recirculated getting vented instead. Do you have the standard recirc valve you can put back on to test?
  20. What modifications does the car have?
  21. Welcome! Goot to see another Scot on here!! :D
  22. WARNING: Audio is terrible....
  23. Not done it as of yet, but my up-pipe that I bought of Ash arrived... bargain price for an unused part! Now just need to save up some cash so I can get the part fitted then get the car remapped :D
  24. Excellent.. thanks for the replies guys, means I can save myself a few quid at least!
  25. So me and my brother fitted my new centre pipe yesterday, neither of us are experts but we can manage little jobs that are simple bolt off/on jobs... While we were under my car, noticed that my rear anti-roll bar was pretty corroded so was thinking about replacing it, is this an easy enough for me to do myself? Is it just a case of a few bolts? Alos, what is the difference... looking on scoobyworld presents several variations in thickness and shape from the looks of it... Can anyone be so kind as to explain the different types and what would be best to go for? This is what I'm looking at: http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=39_274_322_345
