  1. There is always ebay as well - lots of wheels advertised there what wheels do you have currently? as a refurb in a different colour may set the car off how you desire
  2. These are your wheel measurements 17" or 18" - 18x8.5 j, offset 55 (2.17). P.C.D 114.3 (4.50) 5 stud so any wheel matching that should fit, these chaps came up with 718 options if you plug in your car model www.performancealloys.com Bodykits... Something a little subtle http://www.body-kit.com/subarugtv.html Chargespeed do some more radical kits http://www.chargespeedusa.com/#/landing/subaru_body_kits/ Widebody JP style http://www.varis.co.jp/varis/bodykit/subaru/impreza/wide_grb/index.html Something a little more local http://www.imexdesigns.co.uk/subaru carbon fibre products http://jpcarbon.com/Subaru-ImprezaWRX-STI-2008-2011-Carbon-Fiber-Hood-Scoop-P2089122.aspx
  3. Wotcha and welcome depends what you are looking for, body work, engine parts, ICE, interior?
  4. All in the name of research and development - I'd buy that :D
  5. I'd hardly consider that a waste more of a servicing charge ;)
  6. you are probably sorting a product error for H&R angle for a kick back ;)
  7. oh dear, oh dear.... :D so this is what I wasted money on - unclear listing meant I ordered the wrong size - have had a 50% refund as I ordered the correct ones so I suppose I have some spares... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200970532046?var=500190068191&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
  8. that is a bargain to someone with a little bit of know how
  9. sounds like you have a result on the way - good to hear, useful to be working where you are :)
  10. mod your existing springs, if you have the originals you can get the angle from them so it shouldnt be a botch job, take your time it will be fine
  11. the Subaru has clearly made its mark - echo the above lets see some photo's :)
  12. not sure I do - the mapping is where the expertise and - previously highlighted - probably where the majority of cost goes into. ESL provides a product that can be plugged in and then tweaked to suit the individual car because they cover both aspects- that means you can take your car once fitted and have it set up. Having the board on its own you are then reliant on a tuner having the baseline map to use on the chip - ESL appear to have this, ECUTek is an example for later models but again is subject to a license fee. Where would a tuner get the baseline maps to apply to your chip - if they end up going to ESL there will be a licence cost and possibly an annoyed supplier but they could recognise the value in the financial opportunity afforded by the sale of the code (a la ECUTek licensing). If you have a product, however good or value for money it is, if it is hard for the consumer to use / apply you will not sell any. So whilst I dont want you to take this as me trying to put you off your idea - in fact I did consider suggesting a JV investment in research, the product needs a more rounded / complete solution to the board itself.
  13. You should have no problem then - in the long term you could still check with breakers and see if they have anything come in if you are not happy with the finished product
  14. in a nutshell - its not the tool its what you do with it - having a pentium chip does not a computer make. The idea of replicating this board is a good one particularly as there would be possible import taxes on the ESL item (dont know where the base is) however dependant where you are in the country sourcing one and say spending some time with an experienced mapper and a rolling road you could build up some baseline maps and then you have a full solution not just a circuit board - that would then give you a potentially larger margin which in turn enables reinvestment in further development
  15. If you will excuse the spelling in the ad these chaps offer a range of mesh size and colour which mean with a bit of Blue Peter application you could be sorted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALU-SILVER-MESH-KAMEI-GRILL-BUMPER-SUBARU-FORESTER-LEGACY-IMPREZA-WRX-STI-05-S-/151135096926?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item23305a905e

    Favourite ad

Posting this as I would like to reference it in another thread ;)
  17. Ok so here is something a little more serious ;) They have already been mentioned so wont post more pictures but I would have the Maclaren F1 and a 22B both IMO iconic the F1 being a complete game changer for supercar thinking and the 22B a classic 2 door on steroids - nice :P So here are my top 10 not including those two What is better than a flat 4 - well x3 flat 4's - 1971/2 Ferrari 312B2 horizontal 12 - the sound is just awesome, I have got a plan for a replica based on a Testarrossa ..... ...... the car is number 3 in this ad, always gives me goose bumps http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/3105-favourite-ad/ Early GTR 1972 I believe - this would be a resto mod, original on the surface but blueprinted engine and modern running gear An Eagle roadster - modern day E-Type, all of the style and performance plus working brakes, roadholding and steering. just beautiful Bonkers rally car - Lancia Stratos, like a Metro 6r4 but way more style I have a soft spot for nissans particularly Skylines this is the one I have always wanted and I am surprised that a Subaru even turned my head but it did the naughty minx Think these are great - A brat - again it would be subject to a serious build with impreza engine and running gear conversion Aston Martin DBS - V12, awesome styling -- nuff said Ariel Atom V8 - V8 howl and an assault on the senses, trackday mayhem to ensue, new tyres please Nascar / Euro Car - I drove one of these bad boys in the states - :D GOOD points similar to the V8 Atom its a complete assault on the senses, no traction control or servo brakes huge wall of awesome noise masses of torque, BAD points there was a yank in front controlling the speed you went and clearly thought Miss Daisy was behind him (overtaking was an immediate black flag!!) - Got to get one of my own to tear it up properly De Tomaso Pantera - purely for the look - this is how I used to draw cars when I was a kid, I hope when / if I ever drive one it wont be a huge dissappointment
  18. no not seen that one either... this list is getting longer :D
  19. For days out with chums Ultimate offroader Complete versatility Always preferred Barnies roadster Use to avoid paying parking tickets Weekend track tool Pure cruising Trips to Santa Pod Hitting the dunes - Baja sty-lee The ultimate all round sports car - James Bond wants one of these
  20. just the type of stuff I like seeing sat on my work bench - mine has been focussed on bikes so far but a flat four build is on the list
  21. lovely work, a nice structured approach to a build - like it!
  22. right this looks like another one that will go on my to watch list - dont recognise it all
  23. patch it - if it is a decent piece of metal and an intact weld job it doesnt need to be hidden from the MOT person. As said before it needs sorting to stop the rust
  24. That is great news - hope it completes in a nice cash exchange :)
