  3. BRZ

I read in one of the mags about the work Litchfield was doing to improve the BRZ, brakes and handling pack was a big one as they reckoned the wheels were a little too narrow and started from there... http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/Toyota/GT86-BRZ-Suspension but each too their own and fair play to them ;) - keep us posted on what you decide to do :)
  4. right lets see about this one...
  5. the import thread is a great idea I for one would not have the first clue about how to go about it and the Japanese example does look in good shape
  6. looking good!!
  7. just checked it out - does look like a good place to start again - given you have done some research and lined up an alternative you could be in a great position to negotiate. also wrt the 96k if you want to lavish time and some money on it to bring it up to the previous standard chances are you would replace all of the mileage worn components anyway, bushes, rings etc
  8. That looks like the Truman show?
  9. yep - no problem with that one :D
  10. To effect a repair wont be impossible but it will be a big job broken out that is for sure
  11. BRZ

I think given how tidy that install looks and the drivers car concept of the BRZ I think I would go for the supercharger - constant power delivery whilst rear wheel steering, sweet :P
  12. thats what it is all about - learn something pass it on :)

    like this...
  14. great post Miggs - take your time and the pipe replacement will be no problem ;)
  15. running an SCDB with decent liners plus all the associated uprated studs, gaskets etc should be fine and will have the benefits associated with cooling flow around the head These chaps offer stuff off the shelf http://www.ra-motorsport.co.uk/Product/Category/EK20101130021332
  16. Try this one...
  17. got it with the last set of pics - Interview with a vampire
  18. a replacement top mount possibly with a guard as well sounds ideal for your requirements ;)
  19. That is an issue - wrt the dash its a time vs money vs space issue, it is a pita but would be cost effective in the long run would give you something pretty special but will mean taking up room. Do you have space to store the bits once removed including the dash and getting rid of the shell in the short term?
  20. subtle - front looks better :)
  21. BRZ

it might be people expecting more of a boxster S type experience.... just watched fifth gear and they like it - a test drive may be in order :D
  22. liking the fishing line idea
  23. If it was me and I had the room to have both around whilst I worked on them I would strip it and scrap the shell If you found that amount of rust in one place chances are it is in a few more places beside so to fix properly you are looking at a majority strip anyway we'll be here as a place to vent your frustrations along the way ;) with a bit of patience you could recover the caliper if you had to
  24. wow whitehaven there is a blast from the past - ended up there on a really random weekend once....
  25. BRZ

Jay762 replied to AMS's topic in New Members Introductions
So the latest Subaru newsletter advises they are bringing more BRZ's into the UK. slightly lighter than the Z4 but slightly less power so will probably be similarities however the tuning potential is quite significant so if you are willing to invest a little the end result should trump the Z4 oh and welcome ;)
