  1. As Gambit says - check and see if there is indeed a live feed when you turn them on from the dash switch - if that is the case then rig a temporary wire from the earth side of the bulb connection and find a different earth on the car. The in car switch could have worn contacts as well... but that will be confirmed if there is a voltage present when switched
  2. Def sounds like an earthing issue (or lack of)
  3. What a beast - yes well worth waiting for by the looks of it!!
  4. Keep us posted - may help others in the future, actually whilst you are there if you could take a few snaps you could turn it into an info thread ;)

  12. That is indeed a shame for a P1 to end up being broken - I know if I had the funds the one for sale on here would be sat in my driveway sharpish.
  13. Hi Lee - has the car been modified, does it have any service history - what colour is it? All of these things can impact the price someone is willing to pay
  14. Wotcha and welcome - you have a great work horse there - get some photo's taken and dont be afraid to share ;)
  15. Wheel might have thrown a weight and is out of balance. CV joint test - full lock in car park etc slowly drive forwards in circle if it has gone there will be a cyclic clunking sound also try in reverse to be sure
  16. not sure on this one but.. I would go for seeing if the original piece is still available and get it refitted - failing that try a breakers?
  17. Id walk away - there are too many good examples out there at the moment for very little money
  18. Gambit has this covered in a specific thread http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1619-help-check-guide-buying-1st-subaru/
  19. Does sound straight forward enough - good luck :)
