  1. oh I dont doubt it - a fair few surprised looks long the way I would say :D
  2. yup really clean - puts a lot of other weekend gypsy vehicles to shame ;)
  3. Very nice - Im a bit of a team green fan myself
  4. Very nice!! wotcha and welcome - do like the big square chunky alloys in first pic
  5. Wotcha and welcome Eric I drove an Integrale back in the day with a view to making a purchase, absolutely awesome car from a performance perspective - a proper rush however the interior colour scheme was hideous and they rusted something chronic... so how does it compare - I got the same rush from owning the scooby - I am a new to subaru's myself, on the newer cars the sti variants have a wider track, bigger hubs to help with heat displacement protecting the bearings and bigger brakes - few mods for more power as well. DCCD yep why not if you are in the market for something to put a smile on your face get all the bells and whistles as well dont worry about water injection for the intercooler though some cars have it some dont. there is a really nice classic advertised at the moment but it has two doors (particularly special) so may not be as handy for your daughter although if she is old enough to scramble in and out of the safety seat she will be fine. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1772-2000-impreza-p1-for-sale-mailage-8473/ whatever you decide keep us posted and dont forget to share some photo's ;)
  6. If you are intending to be running at lots of high revs (whilst it is in your kitchen), look at changing the oil pump, putting in a sump baffle and the coolant pump to stop overdrive and cavitation. Example links. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-92-12-SUBARU-IMPREZA-SUMP-BAFFLE-PLATE-OIL-CONTROL-baffled-wrx-sti-/161066575443?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item258050e653 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-TURBO-WRX-WRX-STI-COSWORTH-BLUEPRINTED-OIL-PUMP-EJ20-25-/270849097703?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f0fdd3fe7 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190830300831?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 Or alternatively buy this... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/subaru-impreza-STI-7-8-9-ENGINE-REBUILT-Baffled-sump-acl-race-rcm-pump-/161073994200?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2580c219d8
  7. Wotcha and welcome - looks awesome (I am slightly biased though ;) ) how easy was the spoiler to mount, does it bolt to existing mounts? what head unit is it and was there any additional harness' needed to get it reading ECU / CANBUS info?
  8. What mileage have you got on the clock? before replacing the injectors I would look at ensuring airflow in and out is maximised and engine is in good working order to get a good starting point so look at getting existing injectors cleaned / serviced good spark plugs etc. then induction kit + filter exhaust manifold hi flow or decat if cat in place rolling road session to get fuelling spot on and see what you have got and understand how much the existing injectors are being loaded a decent spark from plugs and hi performance leads next in order to increase the fuel air mixture into the chambers have the heads gas flowed - at this point it may be prudent to change the injectors. Gas flowing the heads will give you an accurate point for flow rates and an injector size can be matched accordingly, you may also find reprofiled cams will allow extended duration giving more mixture flow time and increasing the bang. before all of this though I would got to a rolling road session and just see what the engine is developing as is then at least you can see if any changes you make improve the situation or not.
  9. like that - subscribed myself
  10. yup cortinas electrics and water was never a good mix - all the wigglies would swim away
  11. sorry dont have any - although I will be in a similar situation myself as the wheels currently in place need refurbing
  12. Wotcha and welcome - no wars on here all very much under the six stars flag, and a few that are not as it goes ;)
  13. Wotcha and welcome - do have any pictures you could share?
  14. oops sorry my mistake - thought they ran a low blow turbo like some of the forresters
  15. The potential for more power is there, whilst the turbo is the same size shape etc as the impreza the internals are different so it generates a different boost profile so if you are that way inclined a different turbo some less restrictive pipework and a remap will have you hacking along in a more spirited fashion
  16. I have done exactly the same with speakers in the past - would mdf spacer rings help by moving them forwards??
  17. stealth buys tee hee :P
  18. food for thought? http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/71510-ideas-on-swaping-a-weber-carb-on-ea82%C2%B4s/
  19. looks good to me - cant see any outline
  20. is this part of an upgrade package as the injectors done on their own will achieve very little on a N/A car just putting more fuel in the chambers will make it run rich
  21. must admit - I do enjoy watching these chaps / chapesses
