ideal candidate for a reshell as you say - GLWTS

Impreza 1.5 poor mpg
Depends how you drive and where - did you rest the ave mpg indicator, what is that reading? What fuel did you put in? How many miles on clock? When was last service?

My Car
Is that the HEL solution? Been researching the oil cooler options for mine
-
Heater- Cold Air ONLY
No you should still get warm air from the heat unit behind dash which gets its heat from the engine

Help Needed - Lower Control Arms for Forester
That is my philosophy 👍

Power Steering woes! Please help
Agree that looks like air in the system

Heater- Cold Air ONLY
Does sound like an air lock, when you replace the coolant jack the front of the car up to ensure it goes to the bulkhead - I pull the one of the hoses as well just to be sure but it is not always necessary

New Member (DIESEL IMPREZA)
Wotcha and welcome - I remember the bottom view well - standing around in the snow outside with the rest of the Mal hotel staff and guests at 2 in the morning because Gazza, during one of his 'special' moments, hit the fire alarm - also having a couple of glasses of vino with Timberlake and his entourage when he stayed there - Happy days
-
What have you done to your Subaru today ?
ordered a vice for the fuel line fittings and a decent set of cutters
-
Where do I post to get technical help?
Wotcha and welcome - no problem posting here initially but to get increased visibility I would suggest starting a thread in the impreza section, also take photos as that can help with people supplying information

Tyres
It all depends on your driving style and requirements (high mileage etc) I personally have run Continental Sport contacts (onto Mk5 now) for the last few years as a good all rounder that is ok in the winter however am running pirelli p zeros as a summer tyre and will get some continental or michelin crossclimate+ for winter You also have the option of sportier tyres still for summer - Yokohama A048-R Toyo R888r etc

Wotcha - Yoour motor is too new for me but maybe someone will be able to help?

To buy or not to buy?
It will feel a lot slower - check out the weight of the sccob with 160bhp compared to your Seat. ONly advantage is the handling AWD etc but even then teh Scoob may be a bit soft - my RX is very soft compared to WRX STI etc

New hatch owner wrx-s
Wotcha and welcome - looking good. Prodrive exhaust would probably just be the back box. I put a Cobra cat back resonated exhaust for an WRX-S on my RX - great fitment and still comes up shiney after a couple of years. Consider an STI top mount intercooler before going all out FMIC. They can be picked up quite cheap as people change their STI and the mountings are obviously already there for the new frame

Subaru special tools
Yup, I dare say you could find a home for all of them through this site

High Mileage Engine Oil
I would use this oil for your motor - interestingly I had never heard of this brand and was using Millers as a UK manufacturer, I now discover this brand located a couple of miles away from me.
