  1. The other option could be Southsea sea front by the pier but I do like the idea of a Goodwood meet
  2. Went to try and upload the pics at the weekend but there are just too many.. This is the link to the full build page on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/?_rdr#!/media/set/?set=a.377896038960059.88154.114076275342038&type=1 I have put a video on Youtube awhile back when we first got it running albeit with a temporary exhaust from a Tiger kitcar. The new exhaust has since been fitted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64UyJbX4I9w
  3. Its a TU5 8v 1600 from a Saxo VTR however it is running a Megajolt, Newman PH3 fast road camshaft, Racelands 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, custom Longlife Exhaust silencer (well not that silent ), Bog Brothers inlet manifold and Honda Fireblade bike carbs. We put the original Saxo on the rollers and it made 96bhp so with the modifications we are expecting 120-135 bhp but it weighs less than 750kg so should be pretty nippy! The exterior has a custom carbon "Sport" bootlid, custom carbon front bib spoiler and a custom grille. Interior is fully stripped out with historic OMP TRS Legend bucket seats, Safety Devices historic loop roll cage, OMP 4 point harnesses, OMP rally deep dish suede steering wheel and custom Stileto dash with Dolphin gauge clusters. Cooling and fueling has been improved with a MG TF front mounted radiator with wheel arch vents, larger capacity ally fuel cell mounted in OEM position (at the front). The brake system and suspension has been upgraded to GAZ fromt adjustable coilovers with rear GAZ adjusting dampers, Monte Carlo lowering springs all round which gives the car a very nice ride height (or will be wehn we sort it out as its not sitting right!). The brakes on the front have been upgraded to Fiesta Zetec S disc conversion and the rear drums have been cleaned and refurbished. The car has also been extensively polybushed and has new steel braided hose lines. Wheels are gold Minilites 8" front and 9" rear wrapped in Falken rubber. Finally the transmission is a 4 speed Mk3 Imp gearbox built by Reg Pattern using beefer diff pins. This is mounted to the engine using a custom adaptor plate. The clutch system has been taken from a Sierra 4x4. There is probably so much more I have missed but you get the gist on how much work has gone into this car ...... and money lol
  4. Some more pics of the new paint work. Full build photos to come over the weekend.
  5. I will try and get the full build pictures posted at the weekend but be warned it is pic heavy!!!
  6. Oh jeez I didn't realise that ha ha ha! Rear engined rwd is the way forward! Yea in happy for you to do that! Thanks
  7. Few pictures of my custom Hillman Imp VTR aka Project Hilda. Sorry it's not a scoob but it does have gold wheels ha ha!
  8. Cant view it unless your a member of that forum. Any chance you could copy and paste the advert?
  9. Thanks I have opted for the D2's like I said on my previous post. The D2's work out same price (when you factor in K-Sport dont come with pads) and they have the dust seals which the K's dont.
  10. 8 pots I believe. The 330's would be tight on the front and as they are same price i went for the 356mm front. Not sure what pads the garage are getting for me as the ones supplied by D2 are not great.
  11. Mine is just a WRX. I have gone for the D2's 356mm front and 330mm rears as these will fit better with the GT1's.
  12. Nice hatch.... I will be keeping eyes on this one!
  13. Thats what my Oakleys are for
  14. Whoever buys this wont use it on the roads and it will become a show piece in a garage collection! Shame!
  15. Im pretty sure the materials/colour are different and the fixing elbow is slightly different. Someone may be able to tell me otherwise.
  16. I dont want a full carbon bonnet on the scoop insert which is £125
  17. I havent got the time for two but im going to Wales in june so I will punish the car on the B roads (within the UK law!) so i should be able to tell the difference after the work is done in July
  18. I had a bit of an accident over the weekend and got a bit carried away flicking it down to block that shinny yellow ball in the sky and i managed to break it...Yes I am the Hulk!!!!! Anyway does anyone have a spare sun visor including the bracket for a 2008 WRX Hatch kicking about? I tried the usual places yesterday (eBay/Breakers etc.) but no one has one for the hatch. Thanks Guys and Gals! Tim
  19. I notice your in Aldershot.... I work in Cody Tech Park up the road from you. Be good to meet up and see another Hatch owner!!
  20. Im booking a track day to take the Imp and the Scoob is the support car so i will give it a lap or two to see if the mods have worked
  21. I broke the drivers sun visor!!
  22. Going 356mm D2's all round, Whiteline ARB's, Prodrive 18" GT1 alloys, BC coilovers hopefully I will notice the difference.
  23. Thanks guys I have decided that im going to take your advice on board and stick to the brakes and suspension so going to get it booked in for end of June.
  24. Im certianly not going to cut corners but i cant afford to get everything done at once so im asking which bits should i do first.
  25. The handling kit comes with the BC coilovers and whiteline ARB's/bushes but at £1150 its the killer! I have a cosworth panel filter so its starting to breathe better. I could run a cheaper system (Hayward & Scott or Cobra) but they arent in the style I wanted. With regards to brakes, K-Sports cant stock my requirements so its going to be D2 which is now killing this budget!!! GGRRRRR too hard to decide!
