  1. When you up the boost you need to adjust the fuel and timing or you risk it self destructing. Stay well clear mate and if you wanna up the power get a proper remap
  2. Don't bother, you'll just blow up your engine ecu is perfrectly capable of controlling the boost, if you want to tune it, get a proper remap
  3. Today has been productive, decided on engine route :D
  4. ah that might make a difference then lol. im not 100% sure but cant think oif anythign different on a wrx cluster comapred to a gl cluster, if its cheap enough might be worth a punt
  5. ah k i get where your coming from. Is it def the cluster thats gone?
  6. tried ebay matey?
  7. tbh i;d just buy a tom tom
  8. depends how much you wanna spend, performance friction are epic but not cheap at all
  9. Make sure its a genuin one, most copied bov out there and the copys tend to be chinese crap http://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-general-1/928072-spotting-a-fake-hks-ssqv-a-pictorial-guide.html
  10. thats at the higher end of the figures mate, 260 for a classic, 280 for new age is about the norm, Turbo will be at limit. As far as OP, where you go next is dependant on budget and what you want, cheapest option is as said second vf35, fuel pump (if not already), possibly 3 port and then map. If you want the full banana's then SC36, injectors and alcatek to sack off the MAF and give mapper more ability to play with settings. Other things to think about are brakes, suspension etc etc
  11. yeah import and dvla are not normaly a good mix lol check out your vin umber as well lol
  12. Not surprised at all, i sit at the limit or within 10% due to spedo being out ;) lol and the amount of cars that fly by and then brake at the cameras is pretty comical
  13. WRX STi VERSION III V-LIMITED GC8D4ED TY752VBCAA EJ20KDW6PR 280 5 speed wont be an ra, GC8D4DD is the RA code
  14. pindering what route to take with it all !Removed! day and still not decided. does that count?
  15. There in lies your problem, your lucky not to have blown up the engine. Changing the turbo is a big no no without getting it mapped to suit.
  16. It varys from car to car, some cars will make 350 safely, others will make 310 and take no more timing without detting.
  17. As above, no pic. Could be anything from a manual boost controler to anything. Would advise not touching it unless you know what your doing.
  18. Yeah sounds totaly normal.
  19. Depending in who you speak to 330ish normal sort of results on new age sti with decat and map, turbo is the limiting factor. Beware mappers or tuners claiming high figures because there either bs or pushed so hard during mapping they run to agressive timing and suffer det issues.

    turbo

ah right, hats a tad different then. Rods will limit you to around 400, but could put a larger turbo on it and push it up towards 400. Sc42 will be about right and will spool well on a 2.5. injectors may need an upgrade.

    turbo

Im assuming yoru still running the standard 2.5 engine? First port of call is rebuild with proper pistons, rods and such if your wanting to boost performance. as long as yours is ok £4k should be enough to get it done properly. You could try decat, panel filter and map, but is a risk on the standard 2.5

    turbo

haha yeah, welcome to the world of tuning. Did you have a budget in mind?

    turbo

500bhp at the wheels is around 600bhp at the fly, that is some mega power and gonna be a serious build, £20k by the time all support mods are in place at a guess. Bear in mind will be a full overhaul of engine, fuel system, gearbox, clutch, turbo, ecu etc etc. why so much? whats the most powerfull scoob you have driven?
