I have only ever run v power, but my local garage was empty of v power yesterday so I went to tesco and put the momentum 99 in, 6 pence a litre cheaper, no more v power for me, and car runs lovely on the tesco gear
  2. I'm interested in the back box if it will fit my hawkeye, so possibly between the 3 of us it could work out
  3. And of course, these work trips at 80mph are all on private roads or abroad ..... 👍
  4. Lol, you won't be the first or last mate, I did exactly the same thing with my first scoobyroo 👍
  5. Can you post a pic of new back box ?
  6. Bit of a treck mate 👍 , only 10 mins up the road from me is "little Poland" 😜 Bognor
  7. you really need another engine ? Mine has all those parts new, I've replaced loads of stuff due to the mileage being just over 100k and trying to get rid of some of its little issues lol, I think it either the map now or ringlands, it does use a bit of oil but the bores are pretty glazed tbh, judging the owner from new on the paperwork I have I would say it got babied on the break in period tbh, anyway we will see conpression and leak down tests as follows
  8. Hmmm I have problems then :-/ welcome sarahay 👍
  9. It has a back box, panel filter, walbro 255 and silicone intake pipe, but it has already been remapped by a London company apparently just over 32k ago at 69k when totally standard I presume as that's how I got it , I have a tatty receipt and it has some driveability issues coming on boost sometimes and it's up and down on power a bit when it feels like it, and also the fuel trims in learning view are really negative, so I thought a trip to the mapper will be best
  10. Booked the car in with Duncan at racedynamix at Surrey rolling road on 5th august hopefully to iron out the niggles (long as there isn't anything nasty goin on like ringland issues) fingers crossed, all excited I am so thought I would share it with you crazy gringos :) i will end up mapped or being told I need another engine lol
  11. Welcome mate i have a standard rear box off of my hawkeye if you fancy a deal on your loud un
  12. Ok thanks mate, it was advertised as a uk car when I bought it so didn't think anymore about it or even think to check anything like that....DOH
  13. Hi all, after reading a new members post where their car is an import from Malta, I now see that the paperwork for my hawkeye wagon is also from Malta, does this make it an import with associated insurance differences or was it just where it was made
  14. Hello mate, my hawkeye wagon has maltese paperwork too, does this mean it's different in any way to a uk one ?? Welcome aboard 😜
  15. Be interesting to see what people in the know say, they look about the same colour as my hawk ones, but yours have a bit of a pickled effect on the ceramic
  16. Ah, ball-bags, to small mate, thanks for checkin
  17. Any joy mate
  18. This bit mate, needs to be at least 2.5 internal, the one in the pics is 2 and a quarter
  19. that don't sound too bad, can you just check the bore internal size for me mate
  20. I would honestly have thought that it would have burst a pipe before splitting the rad like that, any chance you can post pics up of the splits in rad, may just be some sort of fatigue, or old damage to rad, hard to give a solid opinion without seeing it all in the flesh, but I would be inclined to try another rad, and make sure you bleed the system properly, as it is sure to be full of air, you may even have to burp it, I had to burp my hawk when I put the engine back in as it was pinning the temp gauge into the red almost as soon as you went up the road, burped it and all wAs well
  21. Hello mate, welcome to the madness lol
  22. Hello mate, am interested 👍 whats postage on this back box only, what size is the inlet/bore
