  1. There's a turbo 2000 popped up in the for sale section looks ok from the pics that have been put up, it has already been modded though but it may be worth a look
  2. Welcome along
  3. It could be one of the caliper slides thats tight or seized as that can make the brakes squeal unless you have 4pots then just ignore me lol
  4. Welcome along, hope you get the right motor soon especially as you're already buying parts 😅, if you decide to go for the earlier classic uk2000 i think they may run the td05 turbo which is the same turbo which is on mine but i have an import so not sure if the jap ones run the same set-up or not someone will be along to correct me if i'm wrong, they seem to be able to handle the flutter better than the newer turbo's so i've read anyways as i love the sound of the flutter and have been undecided so far as whether to do it on mine or not, however as sandy has said it does put alot of stress on the turbine as it can stall it, happy shopping and we look forward to pics 🖒🖒
  5. Congratulations buddy, he's a wee cutie glad to hear he already likes the scoob 🖒🖒
  6. Fitted walbro 255 fuel pump as oe pump was starting to give up the ghost it has making some stange noises recently, it may just be in my head but i'm sure the car is running better with alot better throttle response
  7. Got the scoob insured for another year thanks to flux
  8. Just wanted to say a big thank you to all at flux for their great service and insuring my scoob for another year, fully comp for under £400 with all mods declared, thanks again keep up the good work guys 🖒🖒
  9. Just a quick update on this been really busy with work so this has been the first chance to get on with the scoob, i've just ordered a load of stuff from icp, service kit, up-pipe gaskets and studs and all other required gaskets to do the job, some heatwrap from opies and a walbro 255 from scoobyworld since the previous owner was talking bulls**t when he said it already had one, just have to get on the phone to lateral performance on monday to order phase adapters since i don't seem to be able to order them online for some reason, i'm going to be a busy boy in the next couple of weeks
  10. Its a dead simple job bud, not so good that you've been having alot of problems with the motor but sounds like your nearly there with it, be good to see pics of it because we do like pics on here
  11. Welcome to the club, i had exactly the same problem when i bought my classic last year and the previous owner had covered them in crappy stick on carbon fibre wrap stuff, to get them off just peel the window rubber back and theres a few screws that hold them on, i gave them a sand down with some wet and dry sand paper dried them off and a clean with brake cleaner, then used a old metal coat hanger and bent it so i could hang them up then got a rattle can of matt black, now they look good as new
  12. Nice one mate bet it goes like a b*****d
  13. I've also been looking at catch cans and from what i've read they take out all of the oil vapour from the likes of the breather pipes like you said and oil blow by, which is the oil passing the seals on the turbo when running higher boost the oil vapour then gets recirculated back through the inlet and messes about with the octane rating of the fuel and can cause detonation, @aucky don't worry mate i'm sure the motor will pass no probs especially if my old v1 wrx can pass with no advisorys
  14. Welcome along looks really good in white
  15. Hello and welcome
  16. Welcome along nice motor you have there i see your just down the road in langholm some great roads around there
  17. 2nd what jay has said but also go buy some dry lube and spray it on all the runners, have used this before and because its a dry lube it does'nt get on the window glass everytime you open the window
  18. Took the old gc8 for mot and passed with flying colours , i did have to overhaul the front 4pots on monday though as the pistons were seized, probably a side effect of being parked up for the winter but hey ho alls well that end well
  19. Yeah anywhere between £40 and £70 bud and i suppose its like anything else you get what you pay for, can't remember off the top of my head what make we have at work but its a great wee thing will easily start 3ltr diesel engines from dead flat and its about the size of an old video tape, remember them those were the days haha
