  1. You could prob fund a whole new front end by selling the Morrettes
  2. I always post it in the regional section. TBH it's prob worth signing up at the surrey Scoobies forum aswell. Great bunch on there aswell.
  3. 1pm every 2nd Sunday of the month at the fairmile.
  4. I resprayed the triangle bit that fits to the a pillar on mine. You just need to take the door card off, remove the tweeter and that gives you access to the 3 bolts that hold the mirror to the a pillar. The only issue I had was that the multi plug didn't fit through the hole in the a pillar so I had to cut the wires. Refitting meant resoldering the wires back on to the multi plug.
  5. All 4 near me have worked on loads of my local clubs members Cars, and I've used all 4 myself. I wouldn't go anywhere else tbh.
  6. I'm lucky that I'm within 30 miles of 4 top Subaru specialists. If I wasn't so lucky to have them pretty local, I'd always ask for recommendations before taking the car anywhere.
  7. Sounds like the Thermostat might have gone.
  8. If you don't want them Salsa I'll have them off you. God knows why they used Forrester units on the UK Impreza's
  9. Worth reading through the buying guide. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1619-help-check-guide-buying-1st-subaru/
  10. They don't normally issue numbers for PPP'd cars. There must be more badging on the car. Maybe the vin number will give clues? What does the log book say?
  11. No idea then only official UK specials I know of was the P1, WR1, RB320, RB5 and UK300, Terzo, Catalunya and series McRae but it's none of those. I found this page on SIDC http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.php/SidcFaq/SpecialEditions Maybe it's a: Prodrive WR Sport Take the standard Impreza Turbo from new and add the full Prodrive interior treatment, suspension package, body kit, wheels with exclusive WR interior and exterior badging (engine upgrade not compulsory) and an official World Rally Sport limited edition of the Impreza Turbo is yours (for £30,000).
  12. For me this was over 12 years ago, Scoobs were not that popular in the UK and weren't really that common at the time. I had to go specalists as my 1st Scoob was a JDM import and I did quite a few mods which were declared, so 98% of the mainstream insurance companies wouldn't touch me. Those that did were charging over £1.5k.Tescos quoted me £700 but they had screwed up and quoted me on a UK cr not an import. They wanted £1100 for my 1st year but honoured the quote as I had stated lots of times it was an import. After that I went to Keith Micheals and they were under £1k with all declared mods. The vast majority of the cars were imports around that time as there were only UK2000 and P1's officially available through UK dealers
  13. I was told the same, I was over 30, 9 years no claims. They said it was a big jump fr z 205 Gti 1.6 to a Scoob. Seems to be the norm to charge more in 1st year esp if you've never had a high powered turbo before. Ask to speak to Gary Moulson at Keith Micheals he's their Scooby man.
  14. Merged threads for you.
  15. Use a hair dryer and not a heat gun is the best advice I can give.
  16. Paintless dent removal doesn't work on resin bumpers only on metal panels. Chips away type repair guys would be able to do it, they'd sand it back, use a resin filler and repaint the affected areas, normally £80-100 per dent/chip. Body shops would charge upto £250 a panel so would expect it to be around that area. Other option is to find a pristine replacement bumper in same colour or get one that needs a re spray.
  17. Welcome along. Very friendly bunch on here we don't bite Insurance. Adrian Flux offers discounts to club members. Keith Micheals Subaru specalists, lots of my local club owners use them including me. Mods depends on what you want looks or performance.
  18. Spot the difference
  19. Easy enough to do however your current headlights are Morrettes and if original are worth a fair bit of cash.
  20. failure to obey a traffic light. Basically a red light camera nabbed her :( I've read elsewhere that most insurance companies don't take much notice of 3 points,
  21. would be a good idea to sign up at http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk/ as well as here :)
  22. the issue with VTOL for the Harrier was that fully loaded it would have had about 4 mins of fuel left after a VTOL take off lol. Far too expensive to operate the VTOL they were originally intended for.
