Under MONEY!Under current regs the flat four should be allowed as a 2ltr variant, I think it's more likley the stumbling block would be the AWD. There's enough debate over the parity between FWD and RWD cars as it is, adding AWD in to the mix would make it even more complicated. Plus the cost of developing a NGTC subaru would be far too much for a non factory based team, it would require Subaru themselves to get involved, and they haven't invested in Motorsport for nearly a decade. (The American team is an independent, the Nurberg endurance team is independant, as far as I know there is not factory support for any Suabru Motorsport teams.) The only successful AWD touring car was the super touring Audi's. Regs weren't quite so strict and teams got away with an awful lot of "interpretation" of the rules and regs. Other AWD touring cars like a Ford Mondeo and AWD Nissan Primera a were not as succeful, they were in Touring car series with much stricter regulations at the time. Common consensus is that AWD racing cars are not as good as their 2 wheel drive counterparts, and that AWD belongs on the rally stage not the track.

I Love BTCC. I H8 Team Dynamics I Despise Matt Neal I love Plato I Love Rob Austin and Sherman Plato for the Win!!!! My Dream is to buy West Surrey Racing as they are down the road from me, convert them to a Scoob Chassis and enter the BTCC. All I need to do is win the lottery, convince Alan Gow to allow 2ltr flat fours and we are a go.

Anyone changed from Blob/Bug to a Hatch?
Scooby Pete replied to JusNoGood's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
I can't really comment as I went from an 16 year old classic straight to Hatch so it's like chalk and cheese. Only thing I would say is go for the STI over the WRX, I so regretted not getting an STI when I got my classic. The STI is so much more car. I'll be happy to give you test drive in my hatch. Next Surrey meet is 12/04 but I dont know if I'll be there tbh. -

You should have tried companies like Keith Micheals they spec in Subaru and tend to offer better deals than compare sites as the compare sites cheaper option tend to be a much higher excess and don't give all the bells and whistles.

4 lane Top Fuel Funny car is awsome. 4 lane Jet powered funny car is even better.
-
Sorry no can do :( the only way round it is to cancel wait a month and sign up in the wife's name.
-
I do you an offer for Sky half price for a year :D
-
Welcome along, have you ever heard of Surrey Scoobies owners club?
-
Hamonds been doing stuff for Nat geo for a couple of years whilst still under contract to the BBC. Tbh I think Sky would shy away just because of the controversy Clarkson may cause. Look at the Andy Gray Richard Keys affair, there has been other talent sacked from sky for much less than Clarkson ever did.

Boost gauge/gauge pod help
Scooby Pete replied to Mikey133's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
I've had my Depo gauge for installed for 2 years+ and not had any issues with it. I know quite a few memebers went with Depo and not heard of any issues from anyone. You sure they just weren't trying to sell you a more expensive unit, after all it's in their intrest to upswell you to silly price gauges. If you think these are hard to install then you should look at the Defi range, you can't just buy 1 gauge, you also have to have a seperate interface between the sensors and the guages. Installation is quite easy the hardest part is feeding the wires through the bulkhead and routing it through the back of the dash. Where abouts are you I'm sure someone local may be able to help you with the install. -
To be honest I don't think sky are interested, we've not heard anything at work.

Great job a good days cleaning can be one of the most satisfying jobs on a car :)
-
Scoobs are of course WR blue, even though I've had the slower silver and black colours, never had a blue one though.
-
Kyosho Mini z 1:28 Hatch with my own decals. Here's a pic of the small 1/28th scale scoob I've just finished tarting up.
-
As the title says post up pics of your model scoobs. Autoart 22b and 2003 Rally De Corsa
-
Autoart are the best but they haven't produced any scoobs for awhile so it's a sellers market. They do various sizes 1:16 1:43 ect Here's a list of subaru models, rather than buying direct ebay is a good source for them. http://www.autoartmodels.com/product.web.ViewProducts.do?field0=pd.brandId&key0=41&orderBy=ps.rank,pd.productCode,pb.brandNameEn&sortDirectionStr=1,1&st=make.title&localeId=en
