I Love BTCC. I H8 Team Dynamics I Despise Matt Neal I love Plato I Love Rob Austin and Sherman Plato for the Win!!!! My Dream is to buy West Surrey Racing as they are down the road from me, convert them to a Scoob Chassis and enter the BTCC. All I need to do is win the lottery, convince Alan Gow to allow 2ltr flat fours and we are a go.
  5. Not being funny but have looked in the insurance forum? http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/forum/56-subaru-insurance-discussions/ Also if you join the club then you get discount as a club member .
  6. From what I rember TGs wasn't straight ringland failure, it was bottom end went.
  7. I can't really comment as I went from an 16 year old classic straight to Hatch so it's like chalk and cheese. Only thing I would say is go for the STI over the WRX, I so regretted not getting an STI when I got my classic. The STI is so much more car. I'll be happy to give you test drive in my hatch. Next Surrey meet is 12/04 but I dont know if I'll be there tbh.
  8. Not too sure about Gatwick way but tbh it's worth the trip to any of the below. Surrey Subaru specialist Camberly Very busy though need to book a month in advance. http://www.surreysubaruspecialists.com Len at Subaru for you Newbury http://www.subaru4you.co.uk he did my last clutch change but that was years ago on my classic. Stu at TFS Aldershot did my cam belt and a few other bits on classic http://www.tfsracing.co.uk James at GRD Chobham Village bought loads from him not had any work done by him but has a great rep http://www.greenwoodracing.co.uk I have used all 4 of them in the past, all have a great reputation and do work on a lot of the Surrey Scoobies owners club cars, and the Sussex owners club Surrey traders forum http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=77 Sussex traders thread http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/vbulletinforum/forumdisplay.php?f=42 Get your self down to the Surrey Scoobies meet every 2nd Sunday of the month at the fairmile in cobham :)

  10. You should have tried companies like Keith Micheals they spec in Subaru and tend to offer better deals than compare sites as the compare sites cheaper option tend to be a much higher excess and don't give all the bells and whistles.
  11. 4 lane Top Fuel Funny car is awsome. 4 lane Jet powered funny car is even better.
  12. Sorry no can do :( the only way round it is to cancel wait a month and sign up in the wife's name.
  13. I do you an offer for Sky half price for a year :D
  14. Welcome along, have you ever heard of Surrey Scoobies owners club?
  15. Hamonds been doing stuff for Nat geo for a couple of years whilst still under contract to the BBC. Tbh I think Sky would shy away just because of the controversy Clarkson may cause. Look at the Andy Gray Richard Keys affair, there has been other talent sacked from sky for much less than Clarkson ever did.
  16. I've had my Depo gauge for installed for 2 years+ and not had any issues with it. I know quite a few memebers went with Depo and not heard of any issues from anyone. You sure they just weren't trying to sell you a more expensive unit, after all it's in their intrest to upswell you to silly price gauges. If you think these are hard to install then you should look at the Defi range, you can't just buy 1 gauge, you also have to have a seperate interface between the sensors and the guages. Installation is quite easy the hardest part is feeding the wires through the bulkhead and routing it through the back of the dash. Where abouts are you I'm sure someone local may be able to help you with the install.
  17. To be honest I don't think sky are interested, we've not heard anything at work.
  18. Great job a good days cleaning can be one of the most satisfying jobs on a car :)
  19. Scoobs are of course WR blue, even though I've had the slower silver and black colours, never had a blue one though.

  21. Kyosho Mini z 1:28 Hatch with my own decals. Here's a pic of the small 1/28th scale scoob I've just finished tarting up.
  22. As the title says post up pics of your model scoobs. Autoart 22b and 2003 Rally De Corsa
  23. Autoart are the best but they haven't produced any scoobs for awhile so it's a sellers market. They do various sizes 1:16 1:43 ect Here's a list of subaru models, rather than buying direct ebay is a good source for them. http://www.autoartmodels.com/product.web.ViewProducts.do?field0=pd.brandId&key0=41&orderBy=ps.rank,pd.productCode,pb.brandNameEn&sortDirectionStr=1,1&st=make.title&localeId=en
  24. I had a B&M short shift on my classic, that was just a rejigged gear stick with the points of attachment adjust to create a shorter throw. It wasn't the best option but it did make a difference. After a while it became sloppy and kept jumping out the gear lever receiver. On my 08 Hatch I went for the more comprehensive Kartboy shifter which included replacement bushes and give a much more positive action. Down side is that the urethane bushes have increased the amount of noise the gearbox transmits to the body. But then it sounds more like a straight cut rally box lol. I got my Kartboy from AS Performance http://asperformance.com. Give them a call as they are very good and always willing to give top notch advice. Here is a link to a thread I posted with a video of the short shift installed. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/5625-kartboy-shortshift/?hl=%2Bkartboy+%2Bshort+%2Bshift
