opinion on classic
Hi I'm no expert by any means, but is it a 22b?? I thought these were a special edition?? Surely leaving it original would demand better money? But that could be me. I also though the special edition (especially the 2 doors) commanded more money than they are asking. I would be doing more research on it for sure.

Why do you love you scooby?
Agree with all that. Love the sound, the speed, and reliability, but for me there is something else that I can't explain. And my scooby is the only car that I actually want to do as much of the mechanical work myself, that I can't explain why. Usually it's 'let the garage do it' now it's 'I'll do it' lol

Parts for sale.
The turbo is still available if you want. Hi, still interested, but need to wait until nearer the end of month. Do you have any other information about the turbo, make, what car it came of etc? Thanks

Why do you love you scooby?
Hi all So, I love my scooby, but I can't put my finger on why. I had a 1999 Impreza 2.0L sport a few years ago and loved it. I never treated it well. Very few services etc, but it never let me down. Always got me home. It eventually ended up with the dreaded tin rot. So after a couple of year with some crappy cars I finally had the money to get a turbo Impreza. I now have a 2005 WRX. And love it. It may not be the fastest car on the road, but it's pretty quick, but I can't seem to pin down why I love it so much, so though I'd see if any of your reasons why ring true for mine. Thanks

It is an sph da120. I can only give the same reassurance I was given. I haven't tested it. But yes full working order. I also have an extension cable for the USB and hdmi with dashboard fitting. I'll through that in too.

Pioneer da120
Hi all I bought this stereo from a member on here back in December, and I can't see me getting round to fitting it and tbh a bit broke ATM and could do with the cash, so it's up for grabs. Thought I'd offer it here first. Will chuck it on flea bay at the weekend. Only want what I paid £150. Has brackets to fit new age and has the adapter loom. It still in the box that I got it in. I only checked it was all there. Thanks

Power graphs for reference
2005 WRX, prodrive exhaust, and maybe full ppp, but not from factory. I can see prodrive intercooler hoses, unsure about fuel pump so could be standard. Cosworth panel filter The rest standard as far as I know. Remapped by engine tuner, Plymouth 285.4 BHP

Newbie needing advice
Just had another look at that one and my gut says stay away. A full d cat might not pass the next mot. If it's been remapped, what it mapped up to? The 5 speed gearbox has limits!! In my eyes, if someone has spent money on an add you want to put as much info as poss about the upgrades. I would certainly ask more questions about it. Just my pennies worth. I wouldn't rule an older one out. Sti would be in your price bracket then. Just do a lot of searching.

Also I forgot to mention the hawkeye and newer are in a higher tax bracket. I think it's £500+ per year. Blob and older are £295 per year. But that does look a nice car.

Newbie needing advice
Hi and welcome. Many discussions on this very topic. Some say the 2.5L engine (hawk eye and newer) is not as strong as the older 2.0L, while other will say they have never had a problem. Main problems reported with the hawk are head gaskets and ringland, but a good maintenance routine could help combat any problems. I was very much in your shoes a short while ago, and I decided to go for the blobeye (2.0L) WRX. I had an old classic sport a few years ago and had confidence in the engine. Also other will say for that money you should be able to get a blobeye sti, is there any reason why you want the WRX and not the STI? I wanted the low spoiler and a slightly softer ride. I wanted to blend in and not stand out.

Brake disc
Thanks for all the advice. The 2 I've got are in my garage and I'm at work. Will check tomorrow, but a bonus, asked my wife if she still has receipt, which she does, and which ever ones I have she said she will order the others. Happy days. I've done brakes before, many times, but not for a while. And only ever done drums on the rear. I was being lazy and bored as I had a 4 hour wait to unload my truck. Thanks for all info. Great help

Brake disc
Ok thanks, do you know the difference so I can see what I've got or should the box tell me?

Brake disc
Hi just a quick question. My wife got me a pair of brake disc for my blob WRX for Christmas, are they the same disc front and back?
