Didn't know if they were legit or not the ones on eBay. Will have a look into them a bit more. Is the Perrin bracket a must for our cars or do you still get the look without it?
-
So these are on sale in the US, and they ship to the UK (plus I have IS contacts I can ship to and they can hold until someone comes over etc.). Is this a good deal? Do I need anything else (Perrin bracket? Or is that an unnecessary extra?) $30 (even if you add the $15 import fees etc it's still only like £30?) for Hella horns, plus an extra 10% off...so like £32 max? https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000CRZXPI/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Seminole81 replied to stants's topic in General Subaru Chat
What's the best way to clean the arches, other than pressure wash haha. What do youse use? Wife got a new company car so I've get the Qashqai for a bit which means I can do a bit of work on the Subaru...any ideas for what I should do? Thinking about pulling the HVAC out and doing the LED conversion from green to red (because it's doing my head in with it looking like a Christmas tree). Also got to get a good clean in and maybe hook up with catch can to the PCV? Anyone done that before that has a photo of where to mount/and how they've wired it in? -
Personally I'd echo what @Tidgy said. Cheap for a reason. Quicken Google of them doesn't turn much up. STI fitment is different from what I've always been lead to believe. also the link Tidgy posted says something about painting? WTF? Never heard of that...

Seminole81's 2006 Widetrack STi Build
Seminole81 replied to Seminole81's topic in Subaru Build Threads
So my wife got a new job with a company car so it looks like I've got the Qashqai back for a bit before I hand it back in. Going to try and utilise the time to get a bit of work done that if I don't finish it on time for work it's not a massive deal. Going to try and get the catch can hooked up to the PCV for starters. Any other suggestions? Don't have a soldering iron to change the climate control LEDs unfortunately. -
Damn I'd be tempted on the ARB if it fit mine! I see what everyone means by they like to rust as well. Wonder if just spraying a bit of Rustolium paint on? Anyways, just curious, have you got a photo of how you hooked up your catch can? 😬🤔

Emphasis on the vibrating magic wand bit for @Hudson 😂

I've seen it in person. Decent car for price, but higher miles. Mind you, Jurgen's just fully serviced it as well as timing belt and new turbo. I bought my blue hawk off them. They're really good to deal with.

Seminole81's 2006 Widetrack STi Build
Seminole81 replied to Seminole81's topic in Subaru Build Threads
Well the wife found the red hazard button so I've put that on haha. Haven't done anything with the catch can yet as I just ordered some new hose. Think 2x.5m is enough? Any chance you could show me how you've hooked yours up @stants? -

Seminole81's 2006 Widetrack STi Build

I'm not entirely sure, I haven't had a look yet if I'm honest. I was just guessing based on previous models. Yeah definitely keep closed loop though I think is best option. -

Under TMIC below TB I think? Eventually I'll probably run 2 catch cans. But just found this so figured I'd put it on for time being because I can. Probably easiest to mount it to the heads first, although I've read, correct me if I'm wrong, the PCV is the better one to connect to? -
Seminole81's 2006 Widetrack STi Build
Seminole81 replied to Seminole81's topic in Subaru Build Threads
Was thinking of doing both? 🤔😬 Not sure if it's possible with 1 catch can. Only just found it and haven't done a ton of research into it and which is best. In saying that, should I replace the PVC if/when I do it? Heard it's a cheap, but essential part. -

Well, look what I found digging about some old parts. 9mm Cusco oil catch can. Just need to buy a new hose because I can't find that...anyone know the size by any chance? Haha also any ideas to clean it up a bit? 😊 -
Honda Del Sol, but the boring 1.4L non Vtec version first car in the States at the nice age of 15. My parents bought it for me for a present for when I turned 16 and passsed my test straight away, which I did. Got my first speeding ticket less than 8hrs after getting my license! 80 in a 70. First car when I moved here, technically a 1.6L Vtec Honda Civic SiR as that's what I bought when I moved, but I never drove it because I couldn't get insurance. I didn't realize when I bought it the insurance here is ridiculous, and I needed to sit a U.K. Test for a license. First car I actually drove myself was a 1L Nissan Micra haha

Got a Qashqai and a Juke, both diesel. Qashqai going back soon, then I think my wife will either be getting a CR-V or a Fiesta.

Make that the up pipe. What size is it? Looking to do that and decat eventually.

Yeah it's Open Source I was looking at. Yep, the Tactrix is about £200 and the Wideband I was looking at was about £200. Software free like you said. I heard about the ESL course...be tempted to have a look into it a bit more.
