  1. Ooh didn't know the sim tek was available for yours Sam, what year is it ? learn something new every day, how did you find the mapping day & what did you think of bob ?reason I ask is we'll eventually get a guide to mapping posted up.
  2. Nick on here is running around 360 on the 'stock' uk sti engine & as it's forged with standard i/c I can't remember what other mods it has, he was looking to get to 400 but requires some large amounts of cash throwing at it. Fmic & bigger turbo plus map for starters, fonzey has a build thread here and is on 400 bhp may be worth having a read through to get some idea's The cat will be restricting the flow a little, I think the prodrive system has the sports cat so it will be less restrictive than standard, Maybe worth getting it on the dyno to see what's going on, as if you went remap you could push it to safe levels of fueling and upping the boost, plus you could always go for switchable maps, low boost fuel save cruse map and an all out attack full mashings?
  3. Sorry pal if I wasn't in Wales i'd have jumped in the car &come and helped, hope you've managed to get it in gear at least ?
  4. Could still come and camp just not be able to park on stand
  5. Knew boots would be aka the show terminator! I'll be bringing big tent small heater & stove plus booze
  6. Hello & welcome there is a faq/buying guide here http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1619-Help-Check-Guide-Buying-1st-Subaru If your using the tapatalk app it's hard going trying to find any stickies. As ghost say's an 8k budget will get you anything from a well sorted refurbed classic to a good newage car, good luck with the search and feel free to have a good poke around the forum as we're all friendly ☺
  7. Nick and myself will be traveling down and camping on the sat,not sure what time though yet
  8. You forget I live inbetween leeds & Bradford [emoji38]
  9. Ooh seriously tempted, need to sweet talk the mises
  10. 1st of you'll need an esl board to map the leggy or maybe an apexi ? Not sure about sequential blowers maybe Tlag or widesam could answer this, have you thought about just converting to a bigger single ?
  11. Should be the same year hose for impreza/ forester. Don't hold me to this as mine uses the same but newer models may be different
  12. Fuel pump yes as for injectors best off speaking to sc,any ideas waht the injector duty maxes out at ?
  13. No signal here apart from wifi in house, so tried to call and turned on samsung locater but no joy. At half 10 last night after a load of beers and !Removed! rain i'd resigned myself to having to claim on insurance but with only having one button these days and a 'phone shell' on back think it saved it,no idea if speaker works till we go to Tenby tomorrow ☺
  14. Seriously thanks matt we didn't have any but found a load of silica gell in the cupboards 5 hours later the only thing I can't do is use the back button. No biggie as insured, to be fair when I came out this morning i thought it was a goner, if it had been an I phone no chance, thing is I must have walked over it at least twice checking both cars think I turned the torch off as was opening door and didn't check the Area immediately in front of drivers side so missed it
  15. ,I like them although wouldn't suit or fit my foz as colour wrong and they are delicate for the roads down near me would be a shame to destroy them on the highway, also I don't have any disposable income to drop on new rims as i'm looking to move house this yeatlr if I had a track weapon that they fit i wouldn't hesitate to have them,
  16. Try Ets racing as well not sure what they do for newage but you could always ask, there are some generic 52mm single din gauge holders on the bay just depends on how good you are at knocking up supporting brackets etc.l Let us know what route you go & how you get on with some pics as could be useful to other members
  17. You could get more agressive cam's for more power, as Sam says if the engines out may as well do the big end bearings depends on what kind of budget you had in mind
  18. Hello & welcome feel free to get stuck in, at the end of the day it's a subaru no discrimination here chap
  19. Maybe next year we'll try and get a Yorkshire lancs bi monthly meet going gaulson, Saying that I've been meaning to get to gambits but evenings are a little too far for that one
  20. Right I'm in the !Removed! end of Wales lost me phone turns out it was inbetween mine & old man's car all night in torrential rain. So it's been sat in I bowl of silica gell all day so If only part of this comes through that's why, Gambit yhpm
  21. forester vote fore me here, how many miles do you cover a year ? if not a great deal and used for short trips i'd go petrol as there seem to be a few people with dpf issues, (same of any diesel) as for parts yes they are expensive if you only use main dealer, theres been a couple of times when i've had to put the phone down due to laughing so hard whilst talking to them, but the internet is a brilliant place to get replacement bits and there are loads of companies that specialize in jap/subaru parts as your in sheffield, may be worth giving Martin a ring down at sheffield subaru sdervices to give you and idea of service costings and what not, great independent with a wealth of knowledge and good bloke to boot
  22. New gaskets are easier to get from subaru US than here cheaper and quicker, have a search on the bay I got one for under 20 quid shipped arrived within 10 day's much better than 25 quid with 4-6 weeks wait [emoji35] Dunno if you've done one before but the nuts don't need much to be tight and people have snapped the posts that the nuts screw down onto.
  23. Found it It's on a classic and I think they are 60mm gauges but I guess it can be done on yours ?
