What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Found out the other day if your struggling with the last bit of air in system, run up to temp leave the expansion tank on then squeeze bottom hose, and it will force it's way out to the overflow tank [emoji16]. I managed to get mine done spot on in an hour or so

All Season Tyres
I need to replace all 4 this year so I'm looking for the usual brands. Somone posted about 16" all season tyres last night I think his review was good so I may look at getting them. Unless I go up a rim size [emoji16]

The Itch
Rcm pumps are good, a little more expensive though, ash has a scooby worx pump in his running 360 bhp and it he says it's ok

All Season Tyres
I've a set of all season on at the moment, I can't really tell the difference as a, they've been on car since I got her. B, not driven awd cars before and c, I don't drive the car like my old rwd so not really a help. In mud they seem to clear a little better and as for snow I couldn't tell you. Problem I have is that pretty much all the recommended tyres Form mine are xl which tent to be m&s rated too. From what I can work out is that the compound is only slightly different to summer rubber but no where near as good as a dedicated winter compound. As for wear I don't seem to stress them much and they haven't worn much at all, in fact they need changing due to age not wear

Manually Reading ECU Codes
If it's a 51 plate you should be able to read the code with an odd scanner and an app for your phone. Have you tried disconnecting the battery putting your foot on the brake pedal till the lights go out and leaving it for 20 mins ? This should clear all codes, Re connect and drive then re check the codes see if it gives anything that can be diagnosed

forester - intermittent fuel flow cutout
Oh ok, if the pumps working & relay ok then I'd hazard a guess at a blockage, what's the fuel filter looking like in the engine bay ?

Hi could be a cam sensor or similar that's gone faulty, have you connected the green and black wires under the dash to check for error codes ?

Parts for a 2006 Outback
There's a big eBay subaru breakers a1 I think they are called if not there's a place in Heckmondwike way. Just Google subaru spares had bookmarks but lost them all sorry

Ebc brakes.... Opinions?
Not used them on my subatu had them on other cars they were good but the price was fairly cheap, 200 for 4 discs and green pads all round. Have a look at black diamond they come fairly highly recommend plus the price isn't too bad

Forester front top strut brace
It should fit but don't hold me to this, my older foz is compatible with the classic impreza brace. But I don't have my ac lines in the same place. Have a look at the whiteline braces for both your year foz and the same year impreza. If the catalogue numbers are the same I'd say the sti one on ebay would fit

Hi
Hi mate welcome, This covers most of the mechanical points to look out for http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1619-Help-Check-Guide-Buying-1st-Subaru Other than that feel free to ask as many questions as you want no matter how daft they may seem. We're all friendly on here no one takes themselves too seriously [emoji16]
