Lowering forester help
Hello, the fronts tops and rear are different, the front uses the same as the classic impreza whereas the rears use the same shape topmount's as newage cars, you're best off getting ones from a wagon as the rear springs will be stiffer and the are won't droop as much This is the rear top mount for the foz Hope that helps a bit

happy days but...
Is it a gx ? I was told they don't have anti roll bars as standard, if it doesn't could be the topmount. No point speculating too much until you can see what's what

Back to the flat 4
Your car should have 440cc injectors so a Td05 decat and map I reckon you should be close to where you want to be [emoji41]

2001 Forester intercooler
Any from a v3 impreza upwards to a newage one will go in although the newage requires the brackets and a little modification, classic good for nearly 300bhp newage 350bhp all day

Back to the flat 4
What kind of power are you after ? Is it an import or uk car

Back to the flat 4
Hi mate welcome feel free to get stuck in and get some pics posted [emoji2] Essentially an impreza underneath so 90% of the parts should cross over onto the foz Sent from my SM-G850F

Mapping for New Exhaust and Filter
Shouldn't have to as your only changing the breathing element. Mapping will release more power, torque, better fuel economy and massive grins [emoji51] yours being a 98 car you'll need to get a daughter board (esl) or aftermarket ecu (apexi) Sent from my SM-G850F

Sluggish Acceleration

Sluggish Acceleration
Ah right I'm with you, as for the traction control I'm not sure with the newer models I can't turn mine off. I can see pic now [emoji51] I'd call it the a pillar scuttle/trim Sent from my SM-G850F

Sluggish Acceleration
can't find a good pic of a newer engine as half have a plastic cover on or have been modified. So this is mine, I take it yours is right hand drive ? If you look at the pic you'll see the circled area,it's a bit wonky as I'm using me phone, in the right of the circle you'll see the throttle body and a black cable that comes out down to the front of the car and loops back on its self to the rear bulkhead, that's the throttle cable, if you don't have anything coming from the bulkhead then it must be electrical, Does that make sense ? What's vdc ? Sent from my SM-G850F
-
Sluggish Acceleration
If it's a fly by wire system it shouldn't have the throttle cable, I'll dig out a pic of a newer foz engine bay for you as mines an older one and looks slightly different Sent from my SM-G850F

Sluggish Acceleration
Hi welcome, is your car a fly by wire system or does it have cable operated throttle, has there been any work Done recently on the front of the car ? Could try reading the ecu to see if there's any fault codes stored and maybe clear them/ reset the ecu then go for a drive, If it's a cable operated system have a look to see if the cable is hooked into the throttle body ok and the route of the cable back to the bulkhead isn't obstructed or had got kinked Sent from my SM-G850F
