  1. You'd need unequal length headders to get the burble, hence why the turbos have the burble and the n/a cars don't, you may be able to get one custome made or find one on the internets
  2. If you've got anything other than small hands it's a bit of an !Removed! to get to, may help if you loosen the bolt that covers the alternator belt and rotate upwards, alternatively I've been told you can pull the fuel pump fuses does the same job as the crank angle sensor although I'm not sure
  3. Whoop finally ! Great news least I wont have to look at it sat in the back of the garage looking all forlorn and sad next week [emoji16]
  4. Not sure about the locking nuts, you can buy removal kits or attack it with a drill and hammer but maybe not the best if you have 4 to remove, nut size should be 19mm or 21mm
  5. Less drag on starter as one less belt attached
  6. Wow ! Must have been a special offer big sign above the parts counter last week when I went in. Did you take any pics when you were doing yours ? I'm half tempted to have a go myself but got a bit confused with the high and low bobbins. Only wnat it done for the babies benefit as I prefer windows down too
  7. Need the little plastic covers that go over the front seat bolts in the passenger footwells. Both sides needed please
  8. Haha funny this thread should appear now. Don't know weather to get rid of mine or re gas I've been to halfords and ats today to see how much they'd charge to re gas mine. £49 & £45 respectively no test though just gas. Seems like the £80 Bits subaru want at the mo good value as they'll pressure test and change any seals and re gas. Just wondering how lomg the weather will last,
  9. I wouldn't worry too much, I saw a new on at the nbo the other week and it had aready had a warranty freindly remap bringing it to 340 :-D
  10. Hi somone with more knowlege will add to this but heres the info I know. Jdm spec vehicles always have more power as standard used to be the case of different turbos/ internals fo a start plus they run on higher octane as standard. They used to use ps instead of bhp for figures not sure if they still do. Us market will be dictated by emissions regs and boring stuff, the us didn't get the impreza untill 01/02 plus they run rubbish grade fuel 91/92ron being standard. And the rest of us jut get a slightly lower spec to the jap market :-( with a generic map to run safe on 95 octane So yes the differnet markets have different maps with regards to fuel but it's not specific to gaining most for the car just more to meet the various emissions and fuel grades. Hence why most people opt for a remap on vpower or simillar to release more horses And those in the states have to get a map to run safe on lower grade fuel
  11. Hello, could be the diffs or gearbox, maybe change all the fulids and see if that cures it, do you know the service history of the car ? Can you get a sound clip of the noise and post up ? Maybe someone will be able to diagnose what it is that way
  12. What kind of mileage/driving does your wife do ? I friend had an x3 that coked up badly after a year of ownership bmw tried to tell him it was because the car was used for mainly loads of small trips in stop start traffic, least subsru's customer service is good,

  17. Sorry I was typing on my phone ment to say a new on for mine from subaru was 350 it was slightly cheaper on the web but still a massive hit to the wallet :-(
