my foz
I was going to lock them but after seeing how little force it took to release them I figured it didn't really make much difference as if they were going ro shake loose they would have done by now. Mondays job is the fuel pump all being well so i'll inspect them while i'm at it. One side effect is that going into gear the engine has a little idle fluctuation now for some reason, fine in neutral though ? thought the clutch was slipping but after the 'in gear stall test' seems to be fine. Reset ecu this morning so I'll see how she is. Bit more nvh but nothing severe Engine mounts are next on the list. Along with some nice front discs and better pads, maybe some braided lines Then I can start thinking about mapping [emoji51]

Cheers mate, £106 from scooby parts I forgot to ask for o/c discount [emoji35] but free shipping at the mo so swings and roundabouts. Only problem I had was getting the rear crossmember bush to sit in properly, on bolt has gone in further on one side, by a couple mm. Even after dropping it out and reseating it wasn't playing ball so did it up and I'll have a look next week see if it has squashed into place. I was worried about the torque values given for retightening, something like 70nm for thethe front 35 for the gearbox and rear crossmember then 107 for the 19mm outer arms ? The 35nm values were ok but I would have sheared the bolts off the higher ones, so just did up to what it felt right then then another quarter turn All in great upgrade, feels like a new car don't have to give it a stir when going for reverse now [emoji51]

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
**** easy to be honest, thought I'd be fighting with seized bolts after reading horror stories, cracked them all off undid crossmember while still on car, dropped all out then popped new crossmember bushes in and 'box mount. Then the fun started tightened crossmember up before placing back but had to loosen it to get the rear bolt holes aligned, the torque specs were silly 114 for the 19mm bolts ? I just went by feel as if I'd used the wrench I'd have sheared them. The rear crossmember bush on one side wouldn't go all the way up so undid the rear and started again, Not sure why but it refused to go in totally square so I did my best and gonna let it all bed in then take another look next week when I've done some milage on it may squish into place

Lowering forester help
Hello, the fronts tops and rear are different, the front uses the same as the classic impreza whereas the rears use the same shape topmount's as newage cars, you're best off getting ones from a wagon as the rear springs will be stiffer and the are won't droop as much This is the rear top mount for the foz Hope that helps a bit

Is it a gx ? I was told they don't have anti roll bars as standard, if it doesn't could be the topmount. No point speculating too much until you can see what's what

Back to the flat 4
Your car should have 440cc injectors so a Td05 decat and map I reckon you should be close to where you want to be [emoji41]

2001 Forester intercooler
Any from a v3 impreza upwards to a newage one will go in although the newage requires the brackets and a little modification, classic good for nearly 300bhp newage 350bhp all day

Back to the flat 4
What kind of power are you after ? Is it an import or uk car

Mapping for New Exhaust and Filter
Shouldn't have to as your only changing the breathing element. Mapping will release more power, torque, better fuel economy and massive grins [emoji51] yours being a 98 car you'll need to get a daughter board (esl) or aftermarket ecu (apexi) Sent from my SM-G850F
