anti lag / launch controle
The little box next to he airbox with the wires coming from it is where the mass air flow sensor lives. Known to be a weak spot on subarus and if your having an induction kit put on it will be even more prone to dying. Not trying to scare you here, but your mapper will be able to use his wizardry and eliminate the need to use it thus saving you some pennies in the long run

Code 23
Hi mate, how you geting on with the car ? With regards to the nine pin plug where is it located & what year is your car ? My lead has arrived but it doesn't work to be honest I wasn't expecting it to as I have an odb style port on my97 car. But no odb it only has nine pins though so was thinking about changing it to a different block. I think mine uses an Techtom MDM-100 reader or somthing similar to read the subaru select management software. To be honest it's doing my head in hahaha

Screamer pipe ?
I presume youd have to buy a new downpipe, my understanding is that instead of the wastegate dumping all the excess into the downpipe it vents it externally ? Hence the two pipes on the downpipe, i think somome said they aren't strictly legal as they are a vent to atmosphere device. Still sound good though :-D

idle air control valve
Cheers mate, yours is in a different place to mine, yours being newer. Mines located on the back of the inlet to the right as you look at it. It's in for a service friday so I'll ask then
- 1999 Impreza Turbo and Non-turbo front subframes the same?

anti lag / launch controle
Subaru Rally Car Launch Control with Antilag: Basically if you want drama and the ability to do just about every other sub 50k car off the line in a drag race then get it done. Otherwise dont :-D

Laserline alarm/immobiliser problems
Hi mate sorry to hear about your troubles. If you speak to an installer about new alarms and fitting they will probably rip out the old for nothing before installing the new one. I have used the directed electronics alarms. They are made by clifford but the directed name is sold in the states. The hornet I had installed in a previous car was under 200 imstalled and it's a thatcham cat1 The other one I have now is the viper it's a little more but you get a few more features and fancy remote.

underseat subwoofers
Hi mate, I've not attached it to the floor yet as I can't be bothered to remove the seat. I may do and cut the carpet out give it a little more clearance. Or I may stick it in the boot modify the cubby box in the side. At the mo It's being held in place by the rear mat and gravity But over all I'm impressed with the quality, after reading revues saying they aren't worth the money I was a bit sceptical, but thought im not going to be after massive bass just something to round the system off. It does that perfectly and is as loud or as quiet as I want it. Deffo worth the money I'll pop a pic up when I get time

Post '06 Forester Performance
The newer cars are massive compared to the 1st & 2nd gen cars. More weight and associated bobbins to lug round. As for performance restoration it's the same engine as used in the newer imprezas so a whole world of performance upgrades is just waiting to tempt you out of all your hard earned. ://www.ecutek.com/Products/Trade/ProECU-Tuning-Suites/Subaru-Tuning-Suites.aspx
