The o2 sensor is about 4" back from the hotside of the turbo. If it's shagged you may just get the odd cel come up then go away same with the knock sensor. You get a few extra goodies with jdm usually the only other things to check are that the jap de reg certificates are all present and correct, if it's been under sealed properly, the arches are not rusty, & if your lucky it's already been remapped for uk fuel, there's a site you can check the odometer readings at the time of export, I forget the name though. Well the thing is the evo scan software needs a cable which unless you are any good at making them up you'll need to order from them, no problem I hear you say, trouble is they are based in NZ and it takes about 4 weeks to arrive, You do get a discount if you but the cable and software together. If you were closer you could borrow mine but it's a bit of a drive I think. Www.evoscan.com is your best bet for (cheap) monitoring. I'll run mine on the way to work grab some shots for you, can't map or anything but it's useful to see if all present and correct. Or look on the bay or other forums they come up from time of time should be able to pick up one for 200ish already installed in a compatible ecu. Horses for courses apexi units are getting a bit long in the tooth these days and no end user support if you ever needed it, esl boards are well established now and have more features of your handy with mapping you can have similar results with both Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Knock sensor is low, around 24nm (do not over tighten) as can cause cracking and bust the new sensor, as for the others not sure but Google will point you in right direction Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

If the heat shield has been removed you'd hear some extra noise but not that much, maybe worth looking at the hoses that connect the cooler to the turbo and intake, could be a split in the pipework, does it pull OK when on boost ? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
