Water temp sensor location
It's in the water cross over pipe underneath the intake manifold, if you remove the alternator you should be able to see it, There's two one for the ecu and one for the dash display Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

New WRX Owner - Missfire when cold problem
The o2 sensor is about 4" back from the hotside of the turbo. If it's shagged you may just get the odd cel come up then go away same with the knock sensor. I'd start with the cheapest option of maybe looking at the condition of the plugs before changing anything more costly, www.importcarparts.co.uk is your best bet for genuine subaru sensors Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Scoobie Newbie
Happy days mate ! You get a few extra goodies with jdm usually the only other things to check are that the jap de reg certificates are all present and correct, if it's been under sealed properly, the arches are not rusty, & if your lucky it's already been remapped for uk fuel, there's a site you can check the odometer readings at the time of export, I forget the name though. Nope as the older versions run ssm1 and the odb port only has 6 or 8 pins I think Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Well the thing is the evo scan software needs a cable which unless you are any good at making them up you'll need to order from them, no problem I hear you say, trouble is they are based in NZ and it takes about 4 weeks to arrive, You do get a discount if you but the cable and software together. If you were closer you could borrow mine but it's a bit of a drive I think. Oh and I was late for work so legged it out the house and forgot laptop so I'll have a go tomorrow for you Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Esl board will be cheapest option at a guess around 300 for the board then some more for the motorsport features. Not sure if yours would run syvecs but that's even more expensive but has a lot of options Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Legacy mk3 owner need help with part find
Best off having a look with Google Ome from subaru cost an arm and a leg but there's some places that sell dead stock, If all else fails try www.importcarparts.co.uk Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Www.evoscan.com is your best bet for (cheap) monitoring. I'll run mine on the way to work grab some shots for you, can't map or anything but it's useful to see if all present and correct. You'd need to buy an esl board direct from.them with cable if you want to be able to map &log properly Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

He may mean the chip that says 'Wrx z4' on it, I know there were a few going round a while back sort of 'plug and play' didn't hear anything good about them tbh Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Or look on the bay or other forums they come up from time of time should be able to pick up one for 200ish already installed in a compatible ecu. Horses for courses apexi units are getting a bit long in the tooth these days and no end user support if you ever needed it, esl boards are well established now and have more features of your handy with mapping you can have similar results with both Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

New Subaru Forester Owner! I have some questions -)
Knock sensor is low, around 24nm (do not over tighten) as can cause cracking and bust the new sensor, as for the others not sure but Google will point you in right direction Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
- Turbo/intake noise - is this normal?

New pipe thing?
Just about all of the usual places sell them scooby parts & scoobyparts world to name but a few, could also try places like auto silicone hoses on eBay or viper performance Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
