  6. Stainless would be the better option, and cheaper as subaru want silly money, as for custom places around Manchester I've no idea I'll let somone else answer that ☺ Drop David a message as he had his replaced recently
  7. Hello &welcome, both Mr B (independent garage) & forum member and widesam are from your neck of the woods and should be able to help with your query , Get stuck in and have a nosey round were all friendly here [emoji3]
  8. Cheers for the link [emoji3] Did you do a reset of the ecu so it can re 'learn' the new sensors and get the fueling right ? Failing that I'd check the ht leads failing that maybe the fuel filter.
  9. 1998-2002 is the sf production run There's a thread here somewhere with all the part numbers, Are you replacing all 4 or just the rears ?
  10. Is yours an import ? I doubt if will have the sls units as standard, have a look at the rear shock legs if there's a remote reservoir attached to the leg then it's an sls unit, if not it's bog standard, So you can fit normal shocks with springs, kyb do shocks and you can get custom made springs from various places, Pedders also do a lowering kit and it drops the car by about 30mm You can also use impreza shocks/springs however it will sit low at the back as ideally you'd need to pit a spacer inbetween the topmount and car to take into account the different spring rates between the models, finally if you do go down the impreza route, you'd need complete units from a bugeye wagon as the tops are different from classic impreza, assuming you don't re use yours
  11. You will need to lock the left hand side cam's to avoid them dropping when tension is released something like this https://www.toolstoday.co.uk/sealey-camshaft-locking-tool?gclid=CJbupsDQ28kCFcMSwwodiFsHjQ
  12. Andy Carr does it, www.teamcarr.net
  13. Carberry is worth a look, nicks running it on his blob sti about 350 is and hand no issues. No licence required

  19. Which belt ? The alternator one or are you on about something else ? If alternator look in front of it between the rad and block you'll see a long bolt pointing down, just tighten that until you can just flex the belt with your thumb a little, As for tyres I think it's around 32 front 30 back but unsure
  20. Love that new wing Geoff !
  21. I used Duncan as was one of the only options for my car, open source is ok and if your not wa ting 5+ maps anti lag launch etc ut will be fine, admittidley you don't get as much support as you would do from a syvecs system or similar but for normal road use it's all good, drop him a mail and tell him what you have and your goals and ge'll advise what would be best. Alex when you having yours done ? I need a tweak to my map and may as well try and fit in around you
  22. Lol I wouldn't take anything as concrete with foz's Mine seems to have been cobbled together with whatever they had lying around, the top mounts at the rear are newage shape and the fronts classic [emoji85] If your stuck with parts,Tim at scooby parts is a legend, he'll go out of his way to help and will measure parts before they get shipped to make sure they fit.
  23. No idea mate, the fsti is different to the rest of them I think, would opening the hole up a little with a dremmil be an option ? If your not keen on that I'd have a word over on uk foz may get a better answer on there
  24. Import car parts is your best bet for cheaper oem sensors
  25. I'm 'classic' spec so millers 10-40 full synth. Mild mods and a map 130ish k on the clock
