RWYB 10th October Saturday Japshow finale
Had a great day at the pod again [emoji41] Only did 2 runs, first one was a 14 dead second one was a 13.3 (0 to 105 mph) I'm sure I could squeeze a sub 13 out of the old girl by being a bit more savage with the launch and changes [emoji4] http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab187/brianhodgson7501/th_MVI_1197_zpsed9pma9j.mp4 That was my first run of 14 seconds next to a European champion ship car practicing for a race tomorrow [emoji5]

Hello, What do you guys think of this Dyno?
I don't know much about newage tuning and even less about the 2.5 ltr wrx stock injectors. What size are they ? As I think on a newage 2ltr at standard pressure 480cc max about 320 hp 300 flbs 550's max about 370 hp 350 flbs I know the 2.5 naturally has more torque but I think the bigger cc would probably use more fuel and therfore max out the injectors sooner ? The blip in the afr does suggest a posible fuelling change but that could be due to dyno load (what fuels been allowed in a different gear) and could be just from when it comes on boost

RWYB 10th October Saturday Japshow finale
Fairly early but we are only going for the Saturday and will probably leave about 230 [emoji53] Doesn't look like I'll be able to give you the sti peddle set Saturday stants cos I haven't had chance to fit the spec c ones yet [emoji57] Might bring the other ones with me and fit em while I'm there if I get chance [emoji4]

Problems with your Subaru
I think the lack of thermal insulation used in the intake tract and engine bays in general is a major thing overlooked across most marques of vehicles . As colder denser air creates a hotter combustion giving more power and better economy .

Cylinder 4 misfire
I agree tidgy it can work out cheaper to pay for a fault find than buying random parts and if a cylinder looses compression it can also give a misfire code but the spark plugs might show oil fouling to indicate loss of compression I'm lucky enough to have at least half a scoob in boxes in my shed [emoji4] But the op could re gap the plugs to 0.7 ,switch ht lead from cylinder 1 to cylinder 4 reset the ecu and see if the fault code comes back on cylinder number 1 instead (if at all) .which would just cost time not money [emoji6]

What have you done to your Subaru today ?

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Yeah sure stants, peddle sets normally only sell for £20 max ,dunno how much your bushes are ? The rails ,lines and fpr have came up at a decent price and they look real purdy [emoji5] so had to get em lol

Cylinder 4 misfire
What model /year is it ? If it has ht leads have you tried changing those ? If it's a turbo version what were the plugs gapped at ? As if the gaps to big the spark can be "blown out" by high boost

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
That's a shame sam I was gonna bring a spare bonnet scoop to gaffer tape onto the imprezka's bonnet ,so it blended in a bit better on the s.o.c stand this time [emoji23]

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
I'll sell them on stants as think I've just done a deal over the phone that's completely emptied the "scooby modding pot" [emoji19] buy buying a newer momo steering wheel , adjustable fuel pressure regulator, parallel fuel rails with braided lines and a bigger turbo [emoji39]

Help on classic coilpack
Early 96 v2 would have 4 coil packs (1 on top of each spark plug) I've upgraded mine to newage coil packs which is fairly easy if you can use a soldering iron . Late 96 v3 would have a single coil pack attached to the centre of the inlet manifold you can buy uprated ht leads but I'm unsure if the coil pack itself can be upgraded

5-6 conversion
Google the ty number anyways bud cos if it's had a gearbox change before sombody might have put a shorter ratio box and diff in. (If it's a standard UK box it will be a 3.5.4 ratio) You will need the other bits I mentioned as well (cradle ,prop, gearstick ect) Yeah that's mattyb ' s firm won't go wrong with his bits bud [emoji5]
-
5-6 conversion
6 speed conversion kit will cost about £1.5k + fitting + new clutch, might as well fit a new uprated clutch while the box is off [emoji6] If you didn't swallow your own tongue at the price here's what I suggest. Look on your current 5 speed box bell housing (near the starter motor) for a white sticker with a code starting with ty*** Google the impreza ty*** code to find the gearbox and rear diff ratio If you can find a 6 speed with the same ratio as the current 5 speed the minimum you'd need to buy (cheapest option) would be .... 6 speed box (same ratio) 6 speed cradle 6 speed prop 6 speed gear linkage, stick and knob As the 5 speed Clutch Clutch slave Flywheel Starter motor Speedo sensor Front Drive shafts Rear diff (if the same ratio) Are all compatable although I chose to run the 6 speed flywheel, clutch, slave and starter motor ,mainly as they were 10 yrs newer and came in the kit [emoji6] Mattyb (reputable breaker) will probably have what you need in stock let me know if you're definitely still interested and I'll point him in your direction bud

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Was clearing the boot out and realised that the original classic space saver spare wheel won't fit over the new brembos [emoji57] So spoke to mattyb and ordered a 5 x 100 pcd newage sti space saver and a black n silver spec c peddle set ,as the current newage sti pink peddle set doesn't match my interior [emoji5]

The YouTube thread... All things YouTube
He gets some proppa air (still ballsy) across the finish line [emoji15] unless it's the low roof giving a more streamline effect [emoji5]

Dirt Rally
There's a few ps4 titles coming out in November (wrc included) so I think they should keep me busy while I can't work on the scooby during the winter . In the meantime I'm not going to look at this thread or the forza one anymore
