  1. Hmmm not sure about 2001 I still think the hatch is a great car with rally running deep within it still. I'd say the 2012 onwards went sour a bit. But love the new STI the look of it anyway I'm sure I'd love the drive of it too. I'd like to see one done as a rally car too if I win the lottery maybe a project :D
  2. You're welcome :)
  3. Does look spot on. Hope the sale goes well and it finds a good home :)
  4. I'm waiting on Steve to sort them out well the payment forms anyway. I'd best check make sure you don't need to pay fro strip time I guess then :D I've only looked at the club stand price
  5. Hi mate I'm not too sure I'd have to say they won't but stand to be corrected :)
  6. Come on guys get your names down. It's always nice to meet local owners and get a meet going I do one every month ;)
  7. I'm not sure myself I'd either PM Simon from Jolly Green Monster on here or maybe give him a ring if he's not too busy. http://www.jollygreenmonster.com/ I don't think there is anything Simon doesn't know with regards to mapping and ECU's :D
  8. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C I was a big fan of He-Man as a kid :) Dump valves like Stants has said some engines can run them others can't, not so bad with the newage as much as the classics. I have 2 scoobs in the garage both have them and run fine with them it's just pick of the luck really. Induction kits again have them on both as long as its not an oiled one should be fine. it's the oiled ones that do the damage. Anyway feel free to jump in on the forum great friendly bunch on here. So as long as you have a good sense of humour should fit right in at home :D
  9. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C To put it short you have looked far more into it than I ever have with regards to the 06/07 :D Not saying thats a bad thing I just don't know the true answer :) I think the biggest problem you have is there is so many different types with the hawkeye in the UK with limited editions, Prodrive not including the imports also with a lot of car's people change parts on them with other parts. So the trim thing is very hard to say really IMO. I do know it's only very early 06 that fell in the lower tax bracket. The ones that got on the market before the price hike :( I know the 07 has a longer gear change in 3rd and 4th gear only not sure if that has any advantage or not. If I was looking I'd really look at what style/look I was after price with service history and weigh up would it be better with the lower tax. I'm currently looking at hawkeyes myself seen some nice ones looking at a GB270 thats on a 07 plate but seen a few 06 plates that fall in the lower tax. all the cars I've seen look really nice somethings I'd change for my own personal touch on one or two but very undecided myself at the minute :)
  10. From what I've heard and like yourself not driven one but would like to if anyone from Subaru UK feels like letting me ;) ;) That their sold underpowered with the possibility of a remap after 6 months. from the videos I've seen they have kept it like the rally cars well similar to the cars of old like the new age salon. Only thing I can see that seems to be missing is they used to be massive power for a fraction of the cost of say a porsche and 300BHP in todays terms doesn't seem like a massive amount with todays cars that are also on the market :(
  11. I know how it is mate I've been pretty busy some work and some pleasure :) so I can't complain.
