  1. Have you had a look in the section for cars for sale we get some nice one's come on now and again. Have you not thought about private sale of your car or can you not do without a car ?
  2. Np mate :)
  3. Nice one mate sorry about the delay but glad to hear you got it finally :D Sorry to hear you will be putting an order in for another one lol ;)
  4. If it's a light on the car and it doesn't work it fails unfortunately. mine past with a license plate bulb out just because he knew I could change it and he said he's not that petty :)
  5. Nice starting to come along mate :)
  6. Not sure what mine was only in my neck and down past the shoulder blades but was enough to keep me out for 2 days 3rd day felt better had to catch up on some work that night was done in again was off for another 5 days :(
  7. I'd have a look must be a split pipe perished bit of rubber hose or rusted clip I can only guess.
  8. Yes mate as Jay said it's the same place I've done both my WRX's :)
  9. It's a 1st for me I've never heard of anything like that before where about was it leaking from I can't see why the emissions test can even make it leak I'd have thought it would have cut out before it back pressured forcing any out unless when they was under it split an old rotten pipe
  10. I've found most people who have suffered with bigend failure have bought neglected scoobs been thrashed every where not been allowed to warm up to right temperature before being boosted not been serviced well with the right oils that sort of thing. But I guess it does happen and can happen to anyone at any time but they above seems to always be the main reasons for it to happen. Thats why I always say good service is key or someone whos done there own services I find most of the time they will be a subaru enthusiast and can tell they have looked after it :D
  11. Yeah you can hear the piston slap sometimes more so when it's cold oil can mask it but not always something to really worry about unless it's bad we've all had many conversations on here how different sounds scare the crap out of us :D piston slap being the main one. Bigend failure is the one to worry about piston slap can be a very early sign of it but could be the oil used too. So not really easy to distinguish which one it is but should go away once warm.
  12. It's no problem. I would say it's always a WRX I guess the insurance want to list it as an STI maybe with it being a Limited edition car and being a bit more powerful than a standard WRX. But I would argue it's a WRX regardless maybe they don't have the model on the computer Could try our own club insurance with Adrian flux some people get lucky and get a good quote others don't so bit hit and miss but you're meant to get 15% off for being a club member. can ring them yourself or even speak with Dan on here http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/forum/56-subaru-insurance-discussions/
  13. Yeah yeah thats what you say now :D But confirms to me we need to bet getting all events up straight away next year or as soon as they go live with the dates available.
  14. I think it's near the throttle body down at the side of it maybe need to take the Topmount off to see it, but I'm not 100% sure so hopefully Savage or tlag might be able to shine a bit more light on it for you :)
  15. You're welcome 6 speeds only come on the STI not on the WRX both really nice cars so don't let it put you off :) you can tune a wrx to be more powerful than a standard STI but out of the box the STI is a better car if that makes sense :) But I have two WRX's in the garage ;) Only real problems other than head gaskets is big end failure or the pistons sticking on the brake calipers. But they can go on any car really. as long as it's been well looked after with regular service and left to warm up before it's been opened up on boost they're a pretty well built strong car. And with Prodrive they add some nice upgraded parts too :)
  16. It does but we're Staff members ;) we're allowed
  17. Yep it does look like a genuine WRX300 model from what I can see with the STI spoiler been added on after, can't tell if it's a genuine STI spoiler or not from the pictures. Some people try to pass these off as UK300 I think thats where the confusion comes in they was only Bugeyes yes it should be 265bhp from the brochure ;) http://www.subaru-impreza.org/downloads/impreza-wrx300.pdf Only thing I don't like the look of is that someone has put AWD badge on looks out of place :D
  18. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C 1st thing I would double check is it is a genuine Prodrive I see lot's and lot's of people misusing the word prodrive to try sell them. Like one I see just yesterday had a STI spoiler with some aftermarket Prodrive stickers put on which is fine with me but they was trying to sell it as a genuine Prodrive spoiler But full bunch of things here to check that people have added to so worth giving this a red through 1st http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1619-help-check-guide-buying-1st-subaru/ And if you need anymore info mate feel free to ask away :)
  19. I know bombed out again :D
  20. Forza Fuel what is that ? :)
  21. Nope shes going with SIOC I still keep wanting to say Subaru International Owners Club :D
  22. I'm at the meet tonight looks like a few is going will see if I can sell a few of them a ticket to come down :D
  23. I did think about getting that destiney but with Horizon on the Horizon I'm going to leave it :D
  24. Haha yep been there mate feel the pain. Strangely I still look at them for sale see what's about :D Terzo was the edition they released to celebrate the third year of winning the WRC. Terzo I believe is third in Italian. It didn't have any power boost gains over any of the other models that I know of, it was mainly interior and external differences like the paint seats and decals. and a limited amount ever made so like the Catalunya still a nice car to get if you can find a nice one but will hold a bit more value over others with being limited edition cars.
  25. Cheers mate I agree with the full Facebook thing, and will always say it has helped destroy the internet. I think it allowed a whole bunch idiots with no internet skills the ability to use it, thats now spilled on to other parts i.e the increase in trolls :( on youtube forums and so on. I think I will try speak direct with the organizers early on to try get the event sign up's really early on with full sign up and payments. I think we will need to be posting the local meets we hold and the events to bring more on the forum. What I find annoying over 2k members and 10k on facebook and still being 2 members short for the minimum amount It's more frustrating than being at a strip club and not being able to touch ;)
