  1. Have a look on Opieoils.co.UK they often have sales and discount codes. Importcarparts.co.uk are also top of my list for Subaru service parts and certain types of oil. All genuine parts at really good prices.
  2. Yes you can. Comes recommended from Opie oils.
  3. Some kits do. You should also have the release bearing.
  4. Had mine done by Duncan at Surrey rolling road too. Nothing but praise for the bloke. I'm sure he's always busy and bombarded with the same questions but he had plenty of time to answer me and he even visited me at home for a little tweak. Main thing to consider between dyno and road mapping is the car/engine will be under different loads. Air resistance, road resistance, inclines will all have different effects compared to a dynos rollers. It'll still be mapped safely because he can monitor detonation and boost, you just won't get a dyno printout with a power figure.
  5. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/2366-manually-reading-ecu-codes/
  6. Boost cut/fuel cut by the sounds of it if it's as you come on boost. Could be quite a few issues causing it. First step would be a edu code check. There is a guide on the forum explaining how to do it on classics. I'll find the link and post it.
  7. If you can get the total wheel/tyre diameter and circumference the same as what it currently is then the Speedo will remain the same. From what I can remember there are a couple of websites that offer a calculation to sort it without too much brain ache. The difference between 205/50 and 205/55 is 10.25mm. If the speedo reads 30mph the 205/55 would be going 31.01mph and at 70mph you'd be doing 72.34mph. Not enough to get in trouble but certainly something to consider. Hope this helps [emoji4]
  8. Love a letter to the council [emoji28] [emoji23] Always go for a nice chat first off. Better that way. Agree with it all though. I always go out with !Removed! bags. Never let her off the lead even at the little park near me if anyone is there. I was over the other week and a bloke was walking his collie off the lead. He came bounding over causing hassle with Jessie. Bloke was just strolling over like it was fine his dog was jumping all over her. Had a word but it falls on deaf ears most the time.
  9. Agree with that, sounds like head gasket. Can you get a picture of the gunk? Is it a white/yellowish gunk like marshmellow fluff. Sounds like oil mixing with water. Does the overflow/expansion tank bubble when the engines running? Have you noticed the oil lever drop at all?
  10. From 1st October 2015 the law was changed slightly. It's now called the consumer rights act 2015. I believe this section applies to you Failed repairs After one failed attempt by the retailer to repair or replace a faulty item, you're entitled to ask for a refund or price reduction. A second repair or replacement If you don't want a refund or price reduction, you have the right to request another repair or replacement at no cost to you. http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/consumer-rights-act
  11. Indeed. If the whole job was done by the garage, it should all be covered by sales of goods and services act.
  12. If Aztec knew about it hopefully exedy will be able to refund some. They don't usually cover labour though.
  13. Oh right. So you got the exedy from elsewhere?
  14. They tried to charge the difference? Can't see why they did that to you but sent out the competition clutch for same price to other guy.
  15. I heard about the dodgy batch of exedy clutches. That link I posted a few weeks back from Aztec, a local member bought an exedy from them but Aztec refused to send him a pink box because of the amount of returns they had for faulty pressure plates. They honoured the price and sent him a higher spec clutch kit.
  16. Welcome to the club. Lovely little collection you have there.
  17. Yeah, I understand that. I was curious what originally happened and see the story unfold from there.
  18. For tapatalk you hit the button on the left of the screen, circle with an up arrow. Select the paperclip and find the picture you want to upload. One issue I've found is that tapatalk or the forum restricts the size of the photo you can post. So far none of the pictures I've taken have been small enough. I have to crop them down.
  19. Even if the flywheel had stripped the starter should still whirr. Unless the starter is the issue and the bang was it somehow being blown.
  20. Don't be put off by mileage. Lots of us are 150k+ going strong. A well looked after Scooby will go and go. I'm just hitting 169k miles on a UK classic turbo 2000.
