  1. It's been a while... Recently bought a whiteline 22mm rear adjustable anti roll bar. Preloved of course and slight surface rust so I've been sanding it down ready to paint. Almost done with that. In the mean time I had a small oil leak on the RH rocker gasket. Common issue as we all know. It was leaking down at the back near the uppipe. Ordered all the bits from icp and cracked on with it. Took roughly 3 hours. No major issues. All slotted back nicely and very little money in the swear jar even to my surprise. All other pictures are too big. damn you tapatalk. Considering I bought the rarb it'd be rude to put that on without the compliment of new droplinks. I was on the fence for a while where to buy from and then these popped up at a price I couldnt refuse. I'm hoping to fit the fronts next week. If all goes well and I finish the bar midweek I'll get the rear done too. Minor addition, had an oil service. Now on 170,000miles and you'd still mistake her for 70,000 [emoji5] I think that's about it all caught up for now.
  2. Congratulations Tom. Just got news of our second. Weve made it to 13 weeks [emoji5]
  3. [emoji19] Someone twisted my arm....Downright bribery. Now unfortunately for the rest of you, don't get comfy at the top.
  4. Winter is upon us! Don't let that stop you! We had a meet in October of a different kind. We are a close knit bunch and as such the group were invited to my wedding on the 3rd October. Me and Gail would like extend or appreciation to all those that could attend and thank you to those who couldn't but send messages in place [emoji5] It was a bit dark but can't beat conducting an orchestra of Subarus. Back to November's meet. We will be going for a 7pm meet again. If anyone wants to arrange a convoy by all means do, send me a message if you are unsure. The pub hosts a full bar and restaurant that serves hot and cold food with a good reputation for a nice dinner. Plenty of seating so feel free to bring along the family. There is a children's play area just outside too. Along with the rules the pub has given us I'd like to add a couple more. 1. Keep the car park tidy 2. Use the pubs facilities 3. No loud revving of engines inside the car park 4. No idiotic behaviour I'm sure we all know the basics and I'm sure we will adhere to them. Remember we want to keep this meet going for a long time. The Wharf Cotton Lake Galleon Blvd Dartford Kent DA2 6QE I look forward to this meet each month. We have had a continual growth since we started back in February. Don't be shy and we welcome everyone. Well, no Gorillas. [emoji12]
  5. The cut mid corner could be fuel surge. If I have 1/4 tank or less and try to power out of a long corner it'll bog down. I'm on a classic so not sure if they redesigned the tank and pump by the time it gets to your model. The decat could allow over boost which may cause boost cut as the sensors won't like that. Agree with what's been said it needs a map now to bring all the mods together and get it all under control.
  6. Transmech wouldn't be great for a high torque turbo car. They're a budget clutch from what I remember.
  7. Providing the flanges are the same size to allow for bolts to line up and the gasket can provide a seal, going from 2.25 up to 2.5 should be ok. When I swapped my centre+rear that was 3" going on to a 2.5" downpipe with no issue. It was temporary until I fitted the 3" decat down pipe though.

    Halloween

We had about 8 different groups of 3-5 kiddies. I was looking forward to left over sweets.
  9. Your heater matrix has been bypassed. That's usually done because it leaks. Only fix for that is to pull out the dashboard and fit a new matrix.
  10. Air con is separate to heating and internal matrix [emoji5]
  11. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/15922-Kent-SOC-Monthly-meet-Saturday-5th-September-7pm This was September's meet. October the group came to my wedding. I'll do the write up for this month over the weekend but this will give you a feel for it and the address.
  12. Check your top rad hose for tiny splits that only leak under pressure. Possibly around the Jubilee clip too. Couple of local lads in newages have had those hoses go weak and split. Duct tape to get you home [emoji12] I had a rad leak that was only visible at 3k rpm. Can someone blip the throttle for you?
  13. I'm not sure. But pop down to one of our meets [emoji5] I'll send details later. Busy at work today for a change.
  14. 169,000 miles now [emoji5] Keep on top of maintenance and be nice to her. As long as you don't smash it into gear or rag it about from a cold start you'll easily see high mileage. 55k as stants said is barely run in compared to most of us. I'd recommend Duncan for mapping. Always praise the bloke. He is patient with all your questions which he has likely heard every time he maps. Are you located near Surrey rolling road? If you do decide to map have a think about your mod path. If this is all you want done then that's fine but if you decide to decat or add a fmic that'll need another remap so best to get all the parts ready and stick em on the weekend before map.

  16. Mine were spot on. Still on the car. I got them back in January from what I recall [emoji5] [emoji106]
  17. I use a panel filter and decat down pipe. I get turbo whistle. Only -0.2 up to 0 bar.
  18. Mishimoto are a good company and well respected but I couldn't comment on any cone filters.
  19. Welcome to the club. Had any work done?
  20. Pipercross are perfectly acceptable. Try to avoid oiled filters.
  21. I'd rather go on first hand customer reviews than biased rival mechanic opinions.
