  1. what a sleeper 800bhp fozzie - awesome!!
  2. I had 18's on my Sti with no issues - the manual did say you would get some noise from the diff on occasion but I was never as extreme as you describe - what size are the tyres on your 17's?
  3. I know an engine builder who has plans to do the same twin turbo H6 setup - will be a beast
  4. depends which ones you have installed currently - I have LEDs in my Scoob and Vito - both have been in for quite a while so I would say stick with LEDs
  5. If you can hold out time wise a private sale may be more lucrative.
  6. Wotcha and welcome - looks like you have a great foundation to start working with
  7. Ahhh thank you
  8. Hi sorry - slightly confused by the TLA - are you saying your Intake Absolute Manifold Pressure is down to zero? If the car is still generating boost but the manifold pressure is zero there is a huge mismatch (or hole) somewhere between what the turbo is capable of holding and the engine needs. The MAP sensor is a key player here but given the history I wouldn't know if it was calibrated prior to or during the session you had. We just have a snapshot of one thing happening and no view of the relationship to the rest of you motor so I just guessing - sorry
  9. Wotcha and welcome - my 2.5 STI didn't burn oil, rubber more so but not oil
  10. Wotcha and welcome - I am also in the dark with this one
  11. oh yeah I had the two plastic interior door handle cards resprayed, the paint gets chipped quite easily
  12. I had no issues with mine other than the wheels suffered corrosion - had them refurbed, front top suspension mounts clunking - need replacing. Other than that no issues. I did find the STI brembo brakes a bit wooden - they worked great but there was very little feel - never got to the bottom of that one - I think it is the relationship between calipers and the master cylinder as the RX I have now has loads of feel, which is more like I expected
  13. There is a thread somewhere on here where we discussed the different settings, dial and DCCD but I remember the best (most fun) setting being switching the c diff to manual then minimum setting, turning the TCS off (hold the button for 3 seconds) and selecting s# Do this when you have got used to it a bit though
  14. ha ha - not telling, its a surprise
  15. I used a tape measure / ruler to choose mine - 20mm each side got them close
  16. Awesome motor - good times ahead
  17. I had it on mine - some of the feedback I received referred to possibly looking for an coolant leak but mine is a lot older than yours - cleaned most of it off using jizer and then snow foam
  18. Wotcha and welcome Sensible fast - not Scoob but love this clip
  19. power not something he needs to worry about at this stage
  20. Wotcha and welcome - smart
