agree with Tom - however as a minimum I always replace as a pair
  2. I do like the grill ;)
  3. Looking good there chum!!
  4. that is cheap - no turbo so should return reasonable mpg
  5. any engine codes?? could be a dodgy earth, coils breaking down - also just to rule it out, disconnect the maf again particularly if it is an aftermarket one??
  6. couldn't tell you that one - but Im looking forward to the photos ;)
  7. Matt will be able to furnish more detail but apparently due to the extra metal on the wagon you get a stiffer chassis than the saloon so does handle better - power is going to be the same as engine and drive train are the same
  8. you might get 3k - all depends if you find the right buyer, as long as you are prepared to wait put up some photos as the legacy members may have a different opinion
  9. Wotcha and welcome - yup for your money go for the 2.0 blobeye, less on tax but still lots of power and handling
  10. looks tidy enough B)
  11. or an NSX - wonder if it had the flat 12 formula1 engine installed that wasnt powerful enough for the F1 cars of the time??
  12. it may not be too expensive - probably just needs a bit of tweaking - just a guess but it might be the metal hoop it latches to has moved slightly not allowing the levers to be released, that is just a couple of bolts
  13. lovely stuff - what I like about these type of motors are a lot of them have specs that can be copied so you can have the same performance trim and handling etc albeit without the badge but all the benefits
  14. Hi some photos would probably help with the sale - particularly given the description good luck
  15. I cannot believe you started a thread and didn't have photos ready tsk tsk
  16. echo the others replace the motor is cheapest option - then you could rebuild your own as a project getting some experience on the way ;)
  17. Wotcha and welcome - quite a few members have second sets of wheels with winter tyres - depends if you have the storage for them, where it is a legal requirement in Germany for cars to be fitted with winter tyres, you can source 16inch steel wheels and winter hoops for about £500 shipped. For that money and to avoid accidental damage to my alloys I would get some. I didnt get on with all season tyres as I never found them good enough in either winter or summer scenario - too much of a compromise between the two - but then again that will always be subject to individual driving style
  18. Wotcha and welcome - awesome 21st birthday pressie - Stants covered the advice nothing to add there, lets see some photos when you get it ;)
  19. Have a great one Andy!!
  20. Thanks to the dealer for breaking down the pricing - appreciate you taking the time to do that - you may want to stick a name on next time (even if it is an alias ) as it makes it a little less formal. What I would say - sitting on the proverbial fence - a quote is a quote but the choice where to spend your money is ultimately yours but I am always interested in hearing about service provided by any supplier - main dealer or otherwise so please keep us informed of your outcome :)
  21. go for an earlier model and put a bit more aside for tyres ;) we get a discount at Adrian Flux, as a forum member try them for a quote
  22. yup what Savage said would be my option as well
  23. Yup echo Gambit here we are fortunate to have some members with motors that have had some serious time and effort put into them so a little more info on which site / magazine name you would be publishing under would be useful
