  1. Is the loom connector on the steering column that connects to the stalk having the same amount of connections - do all of the female connectors have matching male pins in the loom?
  2. Interesting I thought all modern Japanese cars had the fog lights fitted, were there definitely two reverse lights as there is the clear lens option but with a red bulb fitted? Ill dig through my photos on when I fitted x2 reverse lights and moved the fog light to the rear reflectors. The dash light is triggered from the stalk switch - In theory it should work as they tend to make one loom for all models, more efficient that way
  3. ebay has a few including a brand new Thule item for £200 or this one for just over £100 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143993784123?fits=Car+Make%3ASubaru|Model%3AForester&hash=item2186b2c73b:g:DwYAAOSwYPpgzov1
  4. That is all I would do - find out what Navigation system it is and go direct to the site - eg Garmin
  5. Yes you should be able to download the updates onto the SD card then have the system load into your head unit
  6. To be sure I would contact Subaru for some for of proof of authenticity
  7. Its an unknown - get a pressure test kit and check for leaks https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265270626086?hash=item3dc35c8726:g:I9AAAOSw4RZhGlgT
  8. this is the type of thing https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172856865023?hash=item283f1270ff:g:y08AAOSwXXxZSnLv
  9. Hi - Not familiar with the model however I believe you are correct that the USB is for power only and the SD card might be for navigation updates only not music?
  10. I installed a front windscreen mounted aftermarket item reception is fine and easy to put in place on the impreza - may be an interim option?
  11. As suggested that looks like the connector for a kenwood multicd player, there was one in my 2008 RX
  12. Normally with Prodrive limited editions there is a plaque inside the car and some logos on the seats?
  13. Wotcha and welcome - Great looking Foz there 👍
  14. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to post questions share photos etc all friendly on here
  15. If you did not want to use main stealers look at Sheffield Subaru Services as an alternative
  16. Not sure you can buy just the Y piece - a quick search and it looks like you can buy the whole mid section which includes the Y section. Cheapest on evilbay is £69 As an alternative you could look at getting one fabricated https://www.longlife.co.uk/Longlife-Bristol
  17. Use them as a point of reference then search uk online parts sites or evilbay thenn if that does not work go for main stealer. Talk to ICP if you are really struggling they supply a lot of OEM and replacement parts for Subaru's https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts?cat=96
  18. You dont have to map a car to put all its components under maximum stress, you map a car to get the components fitted matched to each other. You should discuss your requirements with your tuner and tell them what you want. For example, I am running stock internals on my daily but it has had bolt on parts which increase flow and boost generated from the turbo. I know the oem internals are probably hit and miss at about 370bhp so I asked him not to go above 350bhp. The result was 345bhp at the crank but with more to come as it was really free flowing. I have an upgrade path where I can replace the internals with forged items and start to generate more power if I want but at this point it is a sympathetic tune based upon the components used As a consequence I get efficient combustion and with no cats fitted can register under the emissions requirements
  19. It is very similar you should have no issues removing (cracking the nut will be the biggest challenge). Splitting the CV joint is also straight forward, get the cap off and then a split ring
  20. According to this site it will fit the legacy - try taking the code and checking with a main dealer and then check with the suppliers to make sure https://www.1stsubaruparts.com/oem-parts/subaru-axle-assembly-28421ae01c?c=Zz11bml2ZXJzYWxzLWFuZC1yZWFyLWF4bGUmcz1kcml2ZS1heGxlcyZsPTQmbj1Bc3NlbWJsaWVzIFBhZ2UmYT1zdWJhcnUmbz1vdXRiYWNrJnk9MjAwMSZ0PWJhc2UmZT0yLTVsLWg0LWdhcw%3D%3D
  21. I must admit my local main stealer is a bit of a nightmare - A phone call to order parts with a message left and call back commitment just never happens I have to go there in person to get some attention. Unfortunately the aftermarket alternatives seem to be more customer focused
  22. Given prices Subarus are commanding at the moment I think he will not take a really low offer - TBH I think the asking price and what you propose are fair for that motor but that is just my opinion based upon the information I am getting sent through for a 2.0 RX which has gone from 2400 to 3100 in the last 18 months
