Not sure you will get one as you have a normally aspirated engine so in order for it to work (no flat spots etc) all the header lengths need to be the same.

Not by trade - started to keep maintenance costs down years ago and was always tinkering plus fixing the odd thing by the roadside 😁

Looking at some of the parts for sale in the US (quite jealous) why not keep it NA but drop a 6 pot in there from an Alcyone (SVX)? form there you could ad a raptor supercharge kit - bolt on instant 300+ bhp?

Fitted a resonated mid section, had to cut about 50mm - think they may have sent me one for the saloon? Quick session with the angle grinder and cutting disc sorted that out. Using a phone app, I recorded a 3dB drop (94dB to 91dB) which is enough to keep the identity but now (so far) does not make my ears ring on a prolonged spirited driving session Some comparison clips... Hi Jim - you should be able to diagnose the faulty area with a rudimentary flying lead (12v lamp and some wire) or multimeter. You will be looking for a 12v signal to the motor. Door panel easy enough to get off then check for 12v supply to the switch then 12 v from the switch the motor

As mentioned get a test done - You may have an air lock, is it losing coolant?

Put a resonated mid section on my daily, dropped approx 4 db but still has quite a bit of meat to it - will see how it is on a longer run and if it is still a bit much at sustained higher revs

Wotcha and welcome - looks like you have the full list of items there, may be missing a couple of sensors that the new loom would attach to. WRT the adding turbo to existing setup you would need to check your piston setup, compression ratio etc as I believe the NA engines run higher compression. A turbo block will have all that correct from the start

Hi - Sorry for your loss. Your motor looks like an import turbo wagon, prices for subaru's these days seem to be all over the place. You could advertise on Facebook groups, (There are groups for barn finds and specific subaru cars) it does look as though it will need going over / recommissioning but will make a nice project for someone. Knowing if it starts / runs will help but if not it means someone will need to trailer the motor away. I would look to members who are more experienced on the classic motors for a price - I would guess at £1500 due to the unknowns but it could be a £3000 car if there is no rust on the rear arches, the motor runs and it can be driven

Wotcha and welcome - There is a max level on that bottle so I would first check without the engine running that the level is not too high. after that I would check for the radiator cap is ok as the seal lifting is what allows pressure and fluid to be released into that bottle. After that it may be you system is being over pressurised somehow - possibly head gasket failure?

Wotcha and welcome - I wanted a GT4 back in the day but finances could not quite stretch to it - had a 200sx instead which got me into just as much trouble 😁 Great that you know exaclty what you are looking for and I do think you will ned to travel as I have only seen 1 or 2 gravel express motors.. ever, quite the desirable model particularly with all the right bits still in place Good luck with the search and keep us updated
