  1. Not come across bad reviews from PP so you should be in good hands
  2. As above do you want to keep it standard for investment or invest to get slightly more performance and peace of mind for reliability knowing it has all been sorted
  3. Jay762 replied to Mark333's topic in General Subaru Chat
As above these https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=14105&cat=3678&sub=0&sec=0&var=0&dc=&gen=0&searchKey=&searchPart= plus a map to remove error
  4. Wotcha and welcome - As above would recommend Martin at SSS - about an hour from you I think??? @Gambit - Thoughts? Well not thoughts as Lord knows where we will end up 😄, opinions on the question asked
  5. Hi - I looked into this for my own, a breaker will be your first most economical approach (and where I ended up) Subaru had zero stock listed for the part number so I could not buy new even if I wanted to. Bespoke is great but you mentioned not wanting to put too much money into the motor due to changing in the not too distant future. Note the foam and plastics attached to the carpet is part of it - you cannot buy any pieces individually. WRX and WRX STI carpets and seats will fit in your motor. There are black and dark grey colour options that I know of - maybe more as I do not know what is in the blue models
  6. That underside looks in really good shape
  7. Id also look at a brake fluid flush if it has been sat - check all the pistons are free before you drive it
  8. Sounds great - STI and WRX spoilers are the same so should give you more scope for searching. Feel free to start a thread in the build section to document and share your progress. Dont know where you are located but Im quite a fan of the GotItRex guys stuff in Melbourne
  9. Wotcha and welcome - Love a hatch me 🥰. look for WRX or WRX - S fitment - not WRX STI
  10. Here is some information - the ABS sensor is on the wheel but the speed sensor is on the gearbox, they can be tricky to get out as well because the plastic goes brittle. I wouldn't know if it has impacted the Hi Lo function but it would not surprise me https://www.engine-codes.com/p0500_subaru.html
  11. There is no flap next to the fuel flap release, its all electric, no cables Should be a button on the hatch tail gate itself, in the middle above number plate in between the two number plate lights
  12. Yes hoping its enough to keep the pots fed at 8500 - 8600 rpm - as in theory according to the gearbox ratios I should be doing 200mph
  13. I have converted my hatches to x2 reverse lights relocating the fog lights to the bumper add in cree led 20w units and it makes reversing a little easier
  14. Apparently, according to certain sites on the line, its not about the length more the girth. So reverse manifold setup - shorter tubing but larger diameter bore. 😁
  15. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to share photos, ask questions as all friendly and plenty of experience on here
  16. Hi - the older diesels tend to be more reliable that the new ones, what is the issue?
  17. As above - belt would be the first place i would look, check your fluid levels whilst you are there as well
  18. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to share some photos etc, we have a few members with classics on here so quite a bit of experience
  19. As above - a straight forward job and the switch is a good idea so you dont leave something plugged in and drain the battery for the cig lighter. The Radio should already have a perm 12v supply so you could jumper across from that
  20. Great feedback and useful to know - hopefully more people will benefit from this, thanks for sharing
  21. As above I would look to get one made which will probably be a lower cost option
