  1. This is Castrols own recommendations Edge fully synth 5W-40 or Magnatec 10W-40 A3/B4 http://www.castrol.com/castrol/sectionbodycopy.do?categoryId=9024084&contentId=7073092 Magnatec 10W-40 A3/B4 is part synth You should have no problems with it - as long as the oil meets the recognised standards like API or JASO etc and is the recommended weight it will be fine
  2. that really sets the front end off - breaks up the silver nicely
  3. Wotcha and welcome Sean - point your man in the direction of the site, would be great to have his opinion as well - also what is his Subaru car of choice?
  4. Had some money spent on it thats for sure - are you tempted??
  5. Wotcha and welcome :) I have just spoken to a very helpful young lady and confirmed they can supply something to make your Scooby a little more distinctive http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=24_54 don't forget to post some photo's or better yet a before and after video
  6. certainly looking like it will do the job now, no problem at all!
  7. Knew a chap years ago had a bearing collapse on him when he got to Newbury, he continued on to Portsmouth. The bearing welded itself to the hub and we could not get the remains off - in the end he had to replace the hub as well as the bearing
  8. That's it, we can sort out the logistics as and when it is confirmed Convoy!
  9. Wotcha and welcome - there appears to be plenty of room under the bonnet so it would just be a case of sorting the mountings, mind you the reliability may get a little tedious after living with the Alfa ;) you may have to run out of fuel every so often to simulate a breakdown.
  10. Right so the latest from the team is they are going for Easter Bank holiday monday 2014 and will let us know if / when it is confirmed. Doing the Google maps thing and speaking to a chap who attended a VW bash at the same place I would be going via the channel tunnel to Calais then cutting into Belgium
  11. jeez that's really good mine has 5 with 28k and its an 08
  12. 10W- 40 will be fine - just make sure it has a JASO or API approved on it
  13. Wotcha and welcome Sam - loving your approach so far

  15. ditto Gambits advice I would go with fully synthetic for your car
  16. clear here at the moment so...put engine back in frame of bike (6 speed gearbox transplant) clean the spark plugs on the crossers get them ready for an outing and then wash the car
  17. That's not an unreasonable request, ill drop him a line right now... cue tumbleweeds and whistle of wind :P
  18. I have had a response from the organisers - they find out and confirm the date in Sept - Oct after the F1 I have asked to be added to a mailing list if they have one and have also said I will follow up closer to the time. They also said it would be great if we organised something and would like to see us there.
  19. Not as expensive as Honda or Toyota about the same as Mazda, slightly more than Nissan for the bits I have looked at so far
  20. Wotcha and welcome - had a similar moment myself, was never a fan but have now seen the light!! :)
  21. Wotcha and welcome :)
  22. You can get the DPF cleaned as it sounds like you have done before then use an additive to ensure it doesn't block up again, I had the same issue with my turbo diesel van - cured with BG products now I use the BG additive in the diesel every time I fill up, that cost was 300 euros including a service plus the cost of the bottle of additive (about 12 euros) You can get the DPF removed completely here in UK but I don't know how the Spanish emission laws differ and if you can have it done there. Here is just one example http://abchiptuning.co.uk/services/dpf-removal
  23. Wotcha and welcome Kev :)
  24. Have dropped them an email - will post response
