  1. Disconnect the actuator and keep it under 3000rpm :)
  2. I had an sc46 on my forged 2.5 hawk and would be my personal choice, prob come in around 460-480 but mega punchy which would be better to drive than a 500bhp car on the road. was on low boost
  3. only issue at the min is exchange rate means prices once landed are dreadfull, Decent type r is currently about 14k landed :o From what i gather they are now at the age in japan where the rule change regarding the shaken (their MOT but alot stricter) so they are alot easier to keep on the road so becoming popular again add that to the exchange rate and no more bargins :( Glad i got mine when i did.
  4. given how watered down they make the UK STI's, im actually pleased. They will do a proper job then you can just get them imported :)
  5. lamo, theres some truths coming out here that i think may get a few folks in trouble,,,, hahahahahaha
  6. not far off, type R and RA were suposedly 4.7 in stock form, iirc low 4's were reported by some magazines even in stock form.
  7. being greedy are we? lol
  8. looks good. Never got what made suabru chose the names they do, first thing i clocked was levorg is grovel backwards haha
  9. prob a good job she's not on here, or i suspect the whining would have stopped but pain started,,,,,, hahahahaha
  10. hmmm, only a clutch? not the gearbox? lack of effort,,,,,, hahahahaha
  11. hmmm, good effort haha
  12. I was the same mate, i lasted 3 weeks before getting another one. trust me keep it :) needs be have some mods done lol
  13. no, no, no and and finally take yourself outside and have a word,,,
  14. So since getting the car back after the engine was sorted and mapped i've had a bit of a niggling issue. Every time you give it the full beans the cars wee's itself across the back window hahaha (Now im pretty sure its the car and not me anyway) Short version of the issue is the valve for the rear wash wiper isn't strong enough to hold the water flow when accelerating. So after having a chat with kev plan A is to wire in a old boost control solenoid in the wiring to open when the washer is activated. Not a major issue but thought it was amusing that the car was happy enough to wee itself with the new power hahahaha
  15. mid 20's :o your not trying hard enough,,,,,,,, hahahaha Echo whats been said above, regular oil changes (3k), keep on top of servicing, if an issue arises don't try to drive through it, drive very gently and off boost and get it looked at, and if you decide to mod it then find a decent tuner and stick with them, you'll get varying opinions of who's good and bad so its a bit of a mine field
  16. decat, refit ind kit if you want and map would be a good start point
  17. nice one guys
  18. ah k, i'd sell that and see what budget you have. Prices are all over the place at the min
  19. Wouldn't touch a 2.5 that hasn;t had the engine sorted out myself. Or if i did would budget 3k to get the engine done straight away. Do you have a budget in mind?
  20. Do you mean the tuning port? If so its just an interface device that flash's maps onto your car. Which for scoobs is a bad idea Bit pointless tbh, UK tends to have software such as ecutek that is custom mapped meaning its not needed.
  21. running in, 500 miles with !Removed! nasty mineral oil, 500 on semi synthetic, then change for full synthetic and map away at 1000 miles.
  22. I suspect its a bit too tame for you to be honest chap,,,,,, hahaha
  23. Cost involved wouldn't be worth doing IMO, your only talking an increase of about 10bhp over the td05 (assuming its a 16g) by swapping to VF34. cracking turbo VF34 though, had one on my old classic.
