i picked up my 2.5 converted type r today. mines a 2.5 closed deck converted block, sti 5 heads, sti5 inlet manifold.
dont think mines got any sort of adaptor plates, i'll have a nosey tomorrow in the light

all mikey taking aside, sniff test uses a chemical to test for exhaust gases in the coolant. First thing i would check in the circumstances.
aye, bit disappointed but needs must, they did give me the option to take a chance and reused the rad but given how ropey it looked and only the cost of the rad so no additional labour or coolant charge bit of a no brainer.
can see the top of the rad here, although thats' only the support frame, gives you an idea of how manky it is lol
I didnt swing by in the end, but been some more problems found so delayed it a tad more (only a couple of days) seems to be its had little to no major mechanical work since it was built having nock on effects with parts beibg damaged or ropey, rad is a bit worse for wear so is having a new one.
due to pick it up one evening next week now, prob thursday
