  1. hahaha cheers :D you built yours yet?
  2. iirc 0.7mm but will need someone to confirm that
  3. mostly useless knowledge hahaha always gap them.
  4. NGk7's. assuming leads and coils are in good condition be fine as is
  5. Hahaha yeah good plan, just dont tell her the cost of the upgrades,,,, hahaha
  6. about 2k overpriced, very strong money
  7. I went form uprated pads, disks and lines all round, to copies of AP 6 pots and the difference was massive on a classic. Then went back to standard setup on a hawk and found it woefull, then to an AP 4 330mm setup on my type R and they are by far the best brakes i have ever had.
  8. Problem with the 5 speed is its weak, 350bhp and if you don't drive it with some mechanical sympathy it will shat itself. Can get uprated 5 speeds (PPG, Albins etc) but they are typically 3k + so more than the cost of a 6 speed conversion. 17's will handle and ride better than 18's. Standard caliper is pretty weedy so your best bet is fit a 330mm kit which fit underneath 17's, D2 or similar is a nice cheap upgrade or 330mm 4 or 6 pot Ap's are the daddy. Brembo of an sti are a funny offset so wont fit under alot of wheels. Also braided lines and decent fluid.
  9. Wouldn't hurt to replace it anyway given its ten years + old, walbro 255 will be fine for what your talking about.
  10. 5th gear synchro can be done without splitting the box, so depends what route you wanna go
  11. Their simplifying it, i wonder if they will just drop all cars to £140 in a few years to make it really easy.
  12. brake lines will make a bigger difference
  13. Slow but coming along well matey. haha, not the worst bit of body work bodge i've seen lol
  14. shall i ask if the box was sorted? hehe
  15. all the ones i've seen around that price bracket never seem to be that good, either paint is tired with rust or mechanicals arn't 100% etc
  16. very different car, short ratio box, less sound deadening, dccd etc love my type r, but its no where near standard any more haha
  17. 2-3k sti is gonna be a bit rough round the edges, similar with a type r at 6k
  18. Went under I believe, but not 100% on that.
  19. O balls. Forgot to take a pic of my nob :(
  20. Ah sorry i get you, can you pop some of the pipes off and see if you have got oil in any of them?
  21. Basicly weaps past the seals, so need to pool over time to be visible. not enough to be visible under normal running, but given time to pool you'll see a puff of smoke, my old turbo did exactly that.
  22. Is there oil in the intercooler? could be the oil seals on the turbo
