  4. all the ones i've seen around that price bracket never seem to be that good, either paint is tired with rust or mechanicals arn't 100% etc
  5. very different car, short ratio box, less sound deadening, dccd etc love my type r, but its no where near standard any more haha
  6. 2-3k sti is gonna be a bit rough round the edges, similar with a type r at 6k

  8. Ah sorry i get you, can you pop some of the pipes off and see if you have got oil in any of them?
  9. Basicly weaps past the seals, so need to pool over time to be visible. not enough to be visible under normal running, but given time to pool you'll see a puff of smoke, my old turbo did exactly that.
  10. Is there oil in the intercooler? could be the oil seals on the turbo

  12. No such thing as a UK wrx post hatch. There's an impreza which is non turbo or wrx sti.
  13. Just jump in fire it up and drive mate, no need to let it sit. Give it a few miles to warm oil up before you give it large.

  18. Sounds more and more like its had a failure before and not been repaired properly. As soon as they mention bearings it def points to previous headgasket failure and the bottom end didnt get done
  19. haha always the way, i only ever tend to get to the on off button and volume, beyond that i dont have a clue hahaha
  20. I've seen the extra heat cause fried valves before now. Heat has to go somewhere.
  21. Running it even mild for the length of time you will on a rally stage will still muller the engine etc.
