  1. Yeah sorry I assumed you had a tf03 and wanted to fit something bigger as well . there's 3 different phases of classics V1 v2 phase 1 coils on plug V3 v4 phase 1.5 single coil pack on center of the inlet V5 v6 phase 2 single coil pack of set on the inlet And you normally find most ej20 foz engine auxiliaries are based around the same "phase" impreza have you got a pic of the bay ? Sounds like you'd have a v1/v2 phase 1 with a top entry turbo .
  2. Good to see you back but bad news with the gearbox bud Google your ty ##### number off the white sticker on the bell housing to find out your ratio . And find out what "R" number your current diff is (either a R160 or R180 ) . If your lucky enough to find a 6 speed with the same ratio and diff type you'd only need .... 6 sp Gearbox 6sp Cradle /mounts 6 sp Gearknob/linkage And 6 sp prop . As the newage 5 speed box's Clutch , slave, starter, fly, shafts, speed sensor ,front shafts are all compatable with 6 speed box . So if the ratio and diff type are the same you can leave everything original from the prop back and the flywheel forward on the car If you can't find the right 6 speed you'll need the all above plus it's matching diff ,shafts and rear hubs (possibly brakes and discs as well)
  3. I don't know anything about the tf03's dimensions but tdo4 and td05 are pretty much the same on the outside measurements As I did a straight swap (tdo4 to tdo5) and didn't change anything else Same uppipe Downpipe Tmic pipe And turbo inlet pipework If you did fit a different turbo (as stants said) you'd need a remap straight after fitting as the fuelling and boost targets would be set for a smaller turbo What colour are your injectors? Do you know what "phase" impreza your foz is based on ?
  4. I've got a couple of brats you can have for free sam [emoji39] Cos they put a massive dent in the "mod the scooby fund" at this time of year [emoji23]
  5. Been with flux for 2 yrs with my highly modded sti they seem more suited to modded imports. As All my mods are declared/listed ( £6k+ plus total value on a 22yr old scoob ) and my 3rd yr renewal quote came through £19 cheaper than last year [emoji41] So in preparation for the springtime mods I added the new brembos, bigger turbo , a 400hp remap and a £800 increase in value. ... .. Which Cost a extra £ 18 (still £1 cheaper than last year) [emoji4]
  6. If you're using a ecu that will do duel maps and decatting you could ask for a mot emissions friendly map instead [emoji6]
  7. The standard injectors for a 94 would be grey 380's which are good for 280hp ish . So you'd need some yellow 440's which are good for 340 hp . Yellows come in different phases ..... Phase 1 or 1.5 are a direct fit Phase 2's will require "phase adapters " about £40 including new "o"rings. It will need a remap straight after fitting the injectors but you can limp it off boost to the mappers if needs be but don't drive it unless you have to. The ecu is under a kick plate underneath the passenger carpet. if the casing looks standard the only way to tell if it's got a esl mappable daughter board is to unplug it and remove the outer casing. You'll see the daughter board ,like this If not you'll have to replace the current ecu with a mappable option . Your standard turbo will be a tdo5 16g good for 340hp (cams and mods pending) You don't necessarily need to have duel maps just a thorough map . This will include mapping at different throttle positions so half throttle will be set for less fuel while off boost
  8. I bought a ht autos classic p1 rep splitter about 3yrs ago ,great fit and quality. Darren bezent @ abw does quite a few subaru bits and his stuff seems to get good feed back too
  9. I think you can buy a bluetooth odb adapter to connect the ecu to a smart phone and use a app (called torque I think) to read the codes and parameters I'm not that clued up on newage ecu code checking options tbh but maybe a local member or garage could help with reading the codes otherwise Misfiring faults do tend to rear their heads as the damper colder months draw in . Reading the ecu codes would probably be the best option as you could end up replacing loads of sensors ,coil packs ,icv ect before eliminating the fault
  10. Well fook a duck That's a hell'va cheesy grin you've got matt [emoji23]
  11. Think they're based on a tdo5 16g, so once it's mapped in , you'll have to let me know whether you prefer the bigger punch from the journal core compared to the slightly quicker spool of the vf34's roller bearing core
  12. Looks a bit easier to fit those then on some newage and they seem to have made quite a difference [emoji106] Classic ones are easy to get to so I've got no excuse why my 21 yr old headlights are like fooking candles [emoji39] Best have a squint for some headlight bulbs methinks [emoji6]
  13. What turbo have you fitted matt ? I've been pulling my turbo to bits [emoji15] So I can drill and tap new holes for the actuator bracket now I've clocked the coldside [emoji6]
  14. There was a wrx plate up for £450 ish on here a while back but they are difficult to value as private plates mean more to certain people ie If Kevin Curtis drives a 06 wrx he'll probably bite your arm off . Have you looked on any reg plate sellers websites to find a comparison
  15. Nice clean looking v4 sti [emoji41] Originally it would have had the mid level spoiler (like what's on mine atm) but the v5/v6 sti spoiler is the common high level alternative
  16. Sorry theo I'd turned my tapatalk notifications off on my tablet and didn't get any come through on my phone either . I still have the 5zigen system as I haven't put anything up for sale elsewhere . If you wanted to collect your welcome to but it would probably have to be on a Sunday ,as my workload is manic atm . Let me know if you're still interested and I'll pm you my address bud I also have a genuine momo course steering wheel and boss for sale off my classic £ 80 collected from Suffolk
  17. Hmm lovely lexarse lights [emoji55] Have you tried putting a jump lead from the negative terminal on the battery to the engine block/ inlet (to rule out a earthing issue) And I'll keep my spare bonnet scoop in case you bring the saxbru to jap show [emoji5]
  18. The Gearbox dipstick does the centre diff as well and the rear diff has to Alen plugs . Undo the top one first (if you're gonna refresh the oil) as you don't want to drop the oil out before checking the top one will open (might be seized) Then just fill the diff until it's level with the top hole . Don't worry about the drink Alex ,glad to hear it's back on the road [emoji106]
  19. a mates 04 blobeye wrx had ecutek remap done at clive attowes a few years back . He had to hold the revs at 3 k and press the rear demist button to switch maps while driving. It might not have been ecutek or maybe newage ecutek is different (like early esl daughter boards dont support mafless mapping)
  20. Only issue I found with the esl duel maps is you had to turn the engine off and press the throttle to the floor to switch maps . So you couldn't just switch maps while driving ,like you can on ecutek alcertek. I think you can sort of have 2 maps on apexi fc ,if you get the mapper to set 2 different injector, ign, and boost maps and save them in the settings. Then I think you can change the settings over with the hand controller. As I have 4 boost settings saved which I can switch to while driving and can see 4 ignition /fuel settings on the controller
  21. Sorry Leo the thread got buried in my feed (teach me not too post so much lol) Hope you're on the road to recovery bud and glad the earth was a cheap fix [emoji41] As for the rattle on deceleration Heat shields would have been my first thought as well [emoji6] Did you re fit the clutch fork return spring ? (Little spring from fork to bell housing) Have you checked the gearbox /diff oil levels?
  22. Yeah it allows you to set up the same boost in each gear .Which is better as when you get a remap they only set the boost parameters in one gear and you won't hit those targets in other gears due to the different vacuum pressure under different loads [emoji6] running the apexi map sensor lead add on gives the apexi fc ecu better control over the boost but not in every gear and I think I'll need a bit of help to get that bigger turbo spooling in the lower gears ..... So today I mostly be buying a avcr [emoji5]
  23. I've always used exedy pink box clutch kits but have heard somewhere that there was a dodgy batch and some had to be backed (dunno if it is true though) I bought 3 pink boxes from mark agin at lateral performance a couple of yrs ago. All 3 scoobs ran 330hp to 350hp with oe pedal feel and no issues. Make sure you get the flywheel checked /skimmed before reassembly to avoid clutch "judder"
  24. Hi n welcome Nice clean looking bug eye [emoji106]
  25. Double check any earth's or plugs near where you were working when you fixed the upipe leak . As if a earth is off it would make some sensors and voltage go haywire, but the recovery dude is right ,a unregulated alternator charge could give the same symptoms [emoji106]
