    Hi

Wotcha and welcome - As above plus running without a MAF means the engine is hard to map at lower revs and off boost meaning it can run rich obviously impacting fuel economy. If you are looking for a daily driver don't rush to remove the MAF as you are not going to be on boost all the time. If you are looking at running a significant amount of pressure above standard you will need to change the MAP to one appropriate to the expected target boost pressure
  2. Thanks for the update - particularly useful info confirming the use of fuel that doesn't contain bio diesel with the Subaru diesel lump
  3. Nice one - good luck with the sale
  4. Is it not covered in the manual? With that size you are looking at something that draws a fair bit of current. If it was me I would pull it then try starting the car
  5. nightmare - doesn't rain but pours... It may not apply to your policy but check the amount of windscreen claims you can have before any NCD is impacted - know someone who got caught out with that before had x2 in 2 years came to renew and discovered the NCD had been lost. Been paranoid about it myself since.
  6. Yes - that is what I ran my STI on and you could tell a difference, I think the chap who had it before us was running it on 95 ron, halfway through the first full tank of vPower and it showed, better throttle response as well as improved mpg
  7. What are the size details PCD, offset etc chum?
  8. I am so going to have to own a 300zx at some point - loved my 200sx but could not run to the 300 at the time but then again I have always hankered after an R33... come on euromillions
  9. Wotcha and welcome - keep us posted on your progress
  10. Wotcha and welcome - as above plus any visible wheel damage that may point to a serious kerbing and a bent rod?
  11. Wotcha and welcome Garry
  12. Wotcha and welcome - each to there own - before and after looks good but win win situation someone gets a WRC spoiler and you get some cash
  13. This should fit your motor - got the ESL chip already fitted which would save some money, then all you need is the map https://www.gumtree.com/p/car-tuning-styling/subaru-v1-v2-z4-ecu-with-esl-installed/1166766727
  14. hmmmm - wonder if it would fit on an 08 rx - will def need a new rear bumper though
  15. Wotcha and welcome - sounds like something is cutting your fuel supply to avoid damage - check the engine codes and see what is there as it may be a sensor triggering it. VVT wouldn't have been my first area to check.
  16. great piece of kit - hopefully someone will snap this up
  17. That is right needs an admin touch - Ill ping @Steve and look to get this sorted asap
  18. PU one here now £99 posted Quote "A D A Wrx Hatch Lip" When Ordering 07916 282656 info@aerodauto.com
  19. Both work great for standard cars, tuned versions running higher boost run better with the stick coils. Yes you can change if you would like - in fact there is a member current trying to sort an issue with his motor that may require a stick coil conversion - he has just purchased new coils and leads so may be up for a trade??
  20. none of those reasons should cause the map to "disappear" from the ECU - In the same way your computer doesn't forget how to start up when you disconnect it from the mains the info is loaded onto a hardwired chip - hence the risk involved moving a remapped ECU onto your own car with different modifications, the changes from standard will still be there if you have a standard ECU with nothing attached ie Apxei or HKS piggy back type kit it will almost certainly be on a standard map. ESL (as Stants mentioned) will modify your actual ECU and enable real time mapping through the use of appropriate cable and software.
  21. Wotcha and welcome Matt - great choice Scoobies are ideal family runarounds
  22. Use it in my merc van - was using BG stuff for a while, worked great then I stopped when my supplier moved, 18 months in and limp mode was there every trip. Am now using Nitro+ or BP alternative plus a lucas additive, it is almost back to normal. Think the Merc will be cycling more crud than your newer XV but I would do it at least once a year if using branded fuel throughout the rest of the year. Will be trying the Torco product as well in future
