  1. Wotcha and welcome Garry
  2. Wotcha and welcome - each to there own - before and after looks good but win win situation someone gets a WRC spoiler and you get some cash
  3. no problem - keep us posted
  4. This should fit your motor - got the ESL chip already fitted which would save some money, then all you need is the map https://www.gumtree.com/p/car-tuning-styling/subaru-v1-v2-z4-ecu-with-esl-installed/1166766727
  5. hmmmm - wonder if it would fit on an 08 rx - will def need a new rear bumper though
  6. Wotcha and welcome - sounds like something is cutting your fuel supply to avoid damage - check the engine codes and see what is there as it may be a sensor triggering it. VVT wouldn't have been my first area to check.
  7. great piece of kit - hopefully someone will snap this up
  8. That is right needs an admin touch - Ill ping @Steve and look to get this sorted asap
  9. Both work great for standard cars, tuned versions running higher boost run better with the stick coils. Yes you can change if you would like - in fact there is a member current trying to sort an issue with his motor that may require a stick coil conversion - he has just purchased new coils and leads so may be up for a trade??
  10. none of those reasons should cause the map to "disappear" from the ECU - In the same way your computer doesn't forget how to start up when you disconnect it from the mains the info is loaded onto a hardwired chip - hence the risk involved moving a remapped ECU onto your own car with different modifications, the changes from standard will still be there if you have a standard ECU with nothing attached ie Apxei or HKS piggy back type kit it will almost certainly be on a standard map. ESL (as Stants mentioned) will modify your actual ECU and enable real time mapping through the use of appropriate cable and software.
  11. Wotcha and welcome Matt - great choice Scoobies are ideal family runarounds
  12. Use it in my merc van - was using BG stuff for a while, worked great then I stopped when my supplier moved, 18 months in and limp mode was there every trip. Am now using Nitro+ or BP alternative plus a lucas additive, it is almost back to normal. Think the Merc will be cycling more crud than your newer XV but I would do it at least once a year if using branded fuel throughout the rest of the year. Will be trying the Torco product as well in future
  13. I cant find it either - think it must have been lost when we had that hiccup a while back. Credit goes to @stants for following up with Oilman Enter SCOOBY for the member discount
  14. dont forget to use the S.O.C. discount code
  15. yup similar to the wheel arch and skirt clips on my Impreza hatch - although mine do not have the foam. There are different size clips on my impreza so some dimensions may help identify additional applications
  16. Wotcha and welcome from a fellow NA owner
  17. looks clean - good luck with the sale
  18. great to hear you have the six stars back in your life - although we knew you never really left Pete is your man for the meets in the Surrey area bit further across from Reading though, I believe they have just started up again for this year
  19. replaced rear wiper blade
  20. Ordered a replacement rear wiper for my hatch online at wiperblades.co.uk. What came through was a 14" blade as that is what is in the aftermarket databases. Installed on my hatch was 16" blade - the size of the screen you could get an 18" blade in place but they do not do that size with that fitting. I now have a 16" blade on the rear of my hatch all sorted with no hassle and great communications from Ollie at Wiperblades.co.uk - All S.O.C members can benefit from this service as Ollie kindly offered 10% discount using code SCOOBY10 when placing an order
  21. finally got around to disconnecting the seat belt alarm - drove me nuts as once it goes off even if the car has stopped it still continues
  22. Wotcha and welcome - great looking motor - hope they sort the gearbox without any undue hassle
  23. That is awesome - rich and fruity - I like it!!
