  2. Wotcha and welcome - does look clean
  3. Wotcha and welcome
  4. Wotcha and welcome - that is a great foundation for a cracking motor - keep a camera handy whilst you complete the changes
  5. Wotcha and welcome!!
  6. Wotcha and welcome Paul - here is a thread with a load of useful info
  7. think the 1.5 / 1.6's are RWD only
  8. just done the course so all theory at this point - investing in knock / det box and an old STi to start the practical plus investing in premises cost varies dependant on use of rolling road or not and between tuners as Savage said you are looking about £600 all in maps tend to be starting from £250 I have got a couple of test subjects lined up to practice on also
  9. can vouch for the ESL product - with your car you will be able to do live mapping with the ESL ECU. The ECU from ESL comes with all the base map settings from Subaru. Cars running mafless do run rich particularly off boost.
  10. The wife had a people carrier with an older chap complete with flat cap go for it the other day problem was the road went to single lane and SWMBO was in the outside lane - need to get a turbo back on the drive as he almost won
  11. yup as Stants said
  12. With the mods I don't know if it will run particularly smoothly with a standard ECU given the freer flowing intake and exhaust? You may just be putting money in for no return
  13. You know what they say - if there are no pictures it isnt true Im trying to find the Jap parts link they may be able to help
  14. The injectors may not all be spraying the same - apparently they can be really mismatched - it sounds like you have two areas to investigate prior to another garage session
  15. Sorry James - what year is your car?
  16. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to start a project thread of the work
  17. There are some big power WRX's however the STI is more than the engine power - dependant on year it can be larger wheel bearings and mounts of alloy not steel, six speed close ratio box, different brakes. The JDM bug is good advice but tune / rebuild the existing engine instead of going for a complete engine change then you have a known baseline
  18. Wotcha and welcome - bit of tweaking you should be able to sort plates etc if needed or just sell it on and use the money towards another
  19. Wotcha and welcome - they do put a smile on your face don't they
  20. Wotcha and welcome - Great motor - Im with Sandals put the strut back on
  21. Wotcha and welcome - might be worth looking at a clear 3M wrap on certain parts of the bodywork?
  22. Jay762 replied to SOSHY's topic in Wales
    Wotcha and welcome
  23. great post - and yes heat shields do seem to present more issues than they solve - vote wraps or ceramic coats (less rattles also)
