  1. It looks like the starter for your motor is used on other subarus, might be possible to get a cheaper used item from a breaker? Have a look through this site for ideas on cross model parts - Although US orientated it should give you some options against buying a brand new item ttps://www.1stsubaruparts.com/v-2014-subaru-xv-crosstrek--premium--2-0l-h4-gas
  2. Contact ESL directly for the board, either get them to fit it or do it yourself https://www.enduringsolutions.com/shop/#!/Board-97-8-Optional-discounted-cable-and-software-available/p/33042556/category=0 Try TDR @Warwick for the map
  3. I would go with a mix of aftermarket and OEM - You can get beefier / adjustable drop links and replace the OEM rubber bushes with aftermarket poly items (No need to do the more solid option, some are stiffer than others) Replace your ball joint with a subaru item
  4. Plus one for ICP - they do a rear chassis bolt kit with all the bolts you need. If you are looking at removing the large bushes be aware Subaru do not list a replacement so yo will need to look at an alternative - I used the Whiteline kit. When you come to remove the bushes do this outside as they make a bit of a smell 😁
  5. I would give Import Car Parts a ring - They have a pretty good handle on what will fit what
  6. Not as new as yours but I did refurb my impreza headlights and once refitted they were very low, a quick visit to a buddy who does MOT's and he pointed out that even though they are self levelling they do need to be set up initially - he then turned to with a spanner and within a few turns he had them set properly. Why not drop into an MOT place and get them checked as they may not have been set correctly from the factory - this would not be picked up for x3 years until first MOT is due
  7. I am not sure how drilling the thermostat will help as it already has a small hole to enable a little flow when closed and when heating up it will open fully so as soon as it gets warm you will have full flow to the radiator. Is it possible you have and airlock in the system?
  8. Keep us posted - If you are going to look at the coil pack itself maybe consider a stick coil conversion from the later models?
  9. Finally got the aircon working - turns out condenser was leaking so once I had replaced that and regassed I now have functioing cold air in time for autumn 😁
  10. Wotcha and welcome - keep us updated and share some photos when you get your hands on the keys
  11. Wotcha and welcome - On paper some reasonable mods there, not sure you need a front mount for 320bhp could have retained a top mount but I am not as familiar with the classics as some of the other members.
  12. NA engines as susceptible to back pressure to get them to run properly. Removing the back box shouldnt impact it though. Did teh faults correct them selves when up put the muffler back on?
  13. Wotcha and welcome, feel free to share photos etc all friendly on here
  14. Wotcha and welcome - That is a clean example you have there👍
  15. I have only read bad things about liquid gasket sealant and the subaru product steer well clear - blocked coolant passage ways leading to engine destruction
  16. Given the age of your car it would not be a bad idea to replace both pump and filter. The stalling could be down to an electrical issue with the plugs or bad earth?? Are there any codes being generated? Check you hoses as well you may have a small leak somewhere Check this pump put as an option - allegedly built in the same factory as other branded pumps but I have had no issues with ICP service https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=14254&cat=3678&sub=3680&sec=0&var=0&dc=&gen=0&searchKey=&searchPart=
  17. Just done mine on my impreza - condenser was leaking, replaced the seals on the pump as well whilst system was flat
  18. Wotcha and welcome. Cant help with Starlink but I found sports mode was best for drive and mpg with s# best for spirited driving - I avoid i mode altogether
  19. Wow - thats sounds awful! I wonder if the beam can be adjusted by the sensors under the car front and rear - different length bars maybe to change the angle less?
  20. Ahh I see - the radiator coolant overflow bottle, @Tidgy - any ideas?
  21. If you are going that far I would put in a new set of bearings as well.
  22. What brand is the FMIC kit - I have a perrin setup and there is no over flow tank?
