  1. 10:1 is pretty rich. 11:1 is more like where i'd expect it to be on full chat. idle/off boost 13:1 ignore the initial wabble, was the ecu struggling to cope

    pretty crap that. would at least expect them to clean up al the oil in the bay given its their fault its there

  7. Welcome. Not too far from me :) Not a million miles from scoobyclinic up at chesterfield, sure they could help out. They deal with an indy recovery driver so can get it picked up if needs be as well.

  14. Onto of the engine is a bad place to have something trying to cool air. once driving airflow is limited by the size of the scoop so not ideal then. Simply put front mount is better for performance.

Yep, also way beyond the capability of most drivers. it's very easy to say i want X power, but its a very different thing to have it and pay for it. your talking £1500 for the turbo, £2000 for the ecu and thats only two things, full engine rebuild for it will mean rods, pistons, head studs, crank bearings, fuel system upgrade, etc etc etc
  20. find a decent tuner, give them your keys and your wallet and leave it with em,,,,, lol 500bhp is alot of power so will need to have a very good spec to get it there. Full custom engine build etc, prob nocking on 20k+
  21. TD05 is pretty old tech, be better chucking an sc42 at it or something similar.

    was looking at under 10k, so xv's over budget apart from odd ones which arnt in best condition
  24. yeah sorry :( if your gonna be going that far then worth looking at uprated pistons, rods, headgasket and headstuds. will stop the same thign happening again and if you do it right will run 450bhp no problems
  25. Basically when the head gasket goes water gets into the cylinder. Cos it wont compress the bearings get pinched and damaged. They then have a nasty habbit of failing after 1000 miles. Which would mean another fulls trip down and rebuild doubling the cost. Given your 70% of the way there it would be daft not to. Mate found that out the hardway ;)
