  1. Hello and welcome along
  2. Sound cheers for the info bud think i'll give it a go and see what its like 👍
  3. Cool i'm still getting up to speed with the scoob as don't have much experience with them on the modification side can do all the run of the mill oiley stuff. Do u think the price he is asking is reasonable coz may possibly take it and see what its like
  4. Theres no bad side effects from my current dv just a bit of turbo lag as its vta which is annoying sometimes but i also like the noise, was just thinking bout it to see if theres a happy medium or should i just forget it if the only choices are vta or recirculate?
  5. Afternoon all, i have been offered a forge adjustable dv from one of the guys at work, he had it on his audi tt for a couple of months but took it off because he did'nt like it and now he wants to sell it and says he will do it for 60 squid. I currently have a baileys dv on the scoob but it only dumps to atmosphere so my question is what are peoples thoughts on this would it be better and worth getting for the price he's asking thanks in advance for any advice, stu

  8. Welcome along tidy motor you got there
  9. Euro 5 engines were put in diesel cars from september 2009 to meet with e.u regulations on emissions however unsure if the same problems persist on this engine as havnt had any experience with the scoob diesel
  10. Like whats been said theres always two sides to a story but surely this is a bit **** poor if true for a company to charge for bolts THEY broke not the customers fault they broke them, dont get me wrong i'm a mechanic in an hgv workshop and sometimes you break things but we would never charge for our fook ups we get a bollocking and work our time back for the lost labour cost after all thats quite a good incentive to do the job right first time round
  11. Busses and lorries are getting better though at test time they dont even check the smoke emissions on the euro5 and euro6 engines now coz apperently the exhaust gasses are cleaner than the air going into the engine coz they have a thing called adblue fitted which injects a liquid which reportedly is mainly made up of donkey **** not sure if thats true or not lol and a few other chemicals which removes the harmfull nox gasses also theres alot of work going on into hybrid heavy vehicles at the moment aswell
  12. It sure is a big deal especially with me being a diesel mechanic but it'l probs be a while before they stop using them in trucks.... hopefully 😯, but like you say sandals the new small petrol engines are amazing a boy at work has a new focus with the 1ltr ecoboost engine its a 3cylinder and running 120hp and it can fairly move along the road and he only pays 20squid for road tax
  13. Cool plenty of grip there then what are all the mods you have on it apart from the cage and harnesses
  14. Welcome to the club bud i do like the new wrx sti had a wee seat in one at knockhill when the touring cars were on and had the saleswoman at me trying to get me to buy it but i'm happy with my classic

What is it with lazy barstewards at work who think its ok to stand about doing feck all or chatting up the young lass in the office all day every day while you work your little !Removed! off then when you stop for a couple minutes for a wee rest or a drink of juice etc your the one that gets ripped apart for ''just standing around'' bunch of fecking twats
  17. Hello and welcome as sandy has said it could just be something as simple as small bits of rust etc in the coolant making it turn that colour if its not been changed in a while my v1 classic was the same when i got it but draining the system and flushing it out a few times with clean water made everything better
