  1. Thanks Buggyeye, just had a chat with them and they have one for less than £150 delivered which is a great deal.
  2. Anyone got any advice on where to get a power steering pump for an 08 STI? Wouldn't be bothered if it was a recon or decent 2nd hand one, would prefer a legit breaker over fleabay.
  3. It is a Pioneer AVIC-F940BT bear in mind this thread is 2 1/2 years old so it well out of date by now. its been replaced by AVIC-F980BT http://www.pioneer-car.eu/eur/products/avic-f980bt-c
  4. My inital thought is the protective wax they spray all over the engine to protect it during shipping. My car still had some on it when I bought it and it was a 4 year old hatch lol. Have you tried to clean any off?
  5. £20 would have bought a lot more when this thread started lol
  6. On my Hatch you can just undo the wheel arch liner and reach up and do the sidelight that way. I took one headlight out and then was told ^^ is all you have to do, Might be the same for yours.
  7. It's Monthly Meet time again! As ever, it's at The Fairmile in Cobham. 10th july 2016 Full address for the pub is: The Fairmile Portsmouth Road Cobham Surrey KT11 1BW Kicks off from 13:00pm onwards! Eveyone with a Scoob is Welcome. Your welcome even if you don't have a Scoob, you just can't park on the grass :) As with the last couple of months, before adding your name to the list, please ensure that you read the following: Meet rules: 1. No idiotic driving on the roads surrounding the Fairmile 2. No damaging the Fairmile grass 3. No leaving litter/cans/pint glasses on the Fairmile grass 4. Do not partake in any other idiotic behaviour that gives Scoobies a bad name In addition we ask that only Japanese cars park on the grass please. Members are more than welcome to come down in non-Jap cars (or bring friends) but please, Japanese only parked on the grass (there is a second car park to the rear of the Fairmile if you don't want to park in the main area).
  8. That's great news, never heard of gas plus so just googled it, look great deff getting some for the shed :)
  9. I know they can be a real pig to remove just from an access point of view! However if you are having trouble and you can't get them off with WD40 and a 14m spanner or socket then it's either heat them up with a torch (may be able to use them again if when cool) or use the Irwin bolt grips and get some more nuts from eBay, cheap as chips. It's not worth the effort to try and save the nuts imho, a pack of 5 M10 nuts cost less than £5 posted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FLANGED-TYPE-MANIFOLD-NUTS-M10-x-1-25P-TRI-LOC-SUITS-IMPORTS-HBN10-QTY-5-/201161915756?hash=item2ed62f3d6c
  10. I'm going to guess kanckerd bolts on the Turbo/downpipe, @scoobyghost I'd take some Irin bolt grips just in case :)
  11. great looking car goodluck with the sale.
  12. There are no Haynes or commercial workshop manuals for early scoobs. there is a Subaru workshop manual floating around the web and as kayzarh says its huge and TBH it's not comprehensive. Here is a link to a page you can download from. https://www.mediafire.com/?bp5js3yjgcc62 Or http://www.cardiagn.com/1993-1996-subaru-impreza-workshop-manual-pdf/
  13. Scooby Pete replied to a post in a topic in Subaru Outback Club
in the impreza thats the red LED that flashes when alram is on, can't see it being any different for the outback.
  14. Does the spare grill have a badge on it? I'm looking for a Subie badge and wondered if you'd considervselling the grill/badge seperately?
  15. If they don't need a refurb check out plastidip, great alternative to respray. Massive choice of colours and finishes. 4 rattle cans will do a set of wheels for under £60 https://www.plastidip.co.uk/shop/plasti-dip-aerosol-sprays Spent the afternoon spraying the wheels with plastidip. Before after
  16. Ah the even crappier ones than cheap jubilee clip lol. These are the better design of the 3
  17. They are called Jubilee clips, cheap ones tend to come loose or just get knackered, better quality one use bolts rather than screws. The bolt type ones are much better and less likely to come loose.
  18. stick it on scabbynet if your desperate
  19. Thanks Kershaw, been told a couple of methods to do these, TBH I think Im going to take front bumper off as I have the Fog bulbs to change aswell as adding a red trim line to the front grill.
  20. Yeah I have been pointed to http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-X-ERROR-FREE-CANBUS-W5W-T10-501-LED-SIDE-LIGHT-BULB-13-SMD-Xenon-White-/201472330899?hash=item2ee8afcc93:g:dEEAAOSwZG9Wltce only £3 so I've taken a punt on them.
  21. Yep he's right its under the passenger kick plate. Lift the carpet and there are 3 10mm bolts to undo and that will give you access to the ECU.
  22. Gambit and Mecka have the best idea, spend £30 on a removal tool then just buy some new locking nuts. You'll only need the 1 set of 4 nuts to replace the locking nuts and can still use your original wheel nuts.

  24. All you need now is a pair of wellies, a barbour jacket and a lab nice find
  25. I have just bought some LED side lights, unwittingly I bought single sided bulbs and knowing they are a pain in the ar5e to fit I wanted to check with you guys that I have bought the correct bulbs before I dismantle the front of the car just to change a blooming sidelight LOL.
