  1. Was changing the I-phone connection on my Head unit over for the 5s connector kit and can't remeber the password I put in the head unit. So to save myself a trip to Ealing and £25 I thought I'd just leave it connected and prop it up on the dashbpoard. You can guess what happend..... £300 to fix :(
  2. eurocarparts parts are a good shout. £57 http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-parts/car-cooling-parts-and-car-heating/cooling/car-radiator/?203800020&1&470d63e34a8e5fc309d65a82fb3e8ac1543f5955&000261
  3. If you've got a 2nd set of rims great. If your considering road and track use I do some research. I've always considered them impractical for every day use as wet performance is always the biggest loss on these types of tyre. And wear would be a factor as they need to bet upto temp and are quite a soft compound. This site is a great source of info on tyres. They have most of the popular makes listed. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Toyo/R888.htm
  4. Check out the Sussex Scoobies Forum http://www.sussexscoobies.co.uk/forums/forum.php They will have good local knowledge.
  5. 16's will not clear the 4 pot callipers, as for tyres when you say track day tyres do you mean things like toyo R888's?
  6. Also the JDM cars run the 2ltr engine where as US/UK ect are the 2.5ltr engine. The Jap cars run more power from the smaller engine as thats what their market wants. if you are serious I would look at getting an JDM spec car from Litchfield or another JDM suppiler.
  7. Got my new adapter for the I-phone 5 and will fit it this weekend and test the apps.
  8. I've never had the issue myself however a quick Google brings up this from scabbynet.
  9. Looking good as ever salsa.... And black ones are faster than red, blue or white :p
  10. Got a beat code of a friend and have played a cple of ours. Looks amazing, plays really easily and you can deff see the halo influence. The ai is a bit jump left, jump right rinse and repeat makes them pretty easy to kill. Just got into the game proper only played a bit of it. Will be back on later :)
  11. Bit more info would help like year, model, spec ect :)
  12. So has mine, didn't notice any stickers though.
  13. As for clay Bilt Hamber clay works with just water. That's my next one any way, and less than £11 it's a bargain. http://www.bilthamber.com/clay-bars
  14. Drove to West Wittering on the coast, took the dog to the beech for te 1st time and have now got sand all over the back seat of the car :D
  15. If Camberley Surrey isn't too far Surrey Subaru Specialists are very good. Edit: scrap that just checked Google and it's a 2 hour drive :(
  16. Nice looking car. If it were me I'd give it a full service ie a 50,000 mile one where all the diff/gearbox oils are done, plugs, fluids, cam belt ect. May cost a bit but would give peace of mind. Essex Subaru owners club meet up in Chelsmford. http://www.pistonheads.com/gAssing/topic.asp?h=0&t=1268873&mid=0&nmt=Essex+Subaru+Owners+Club+-Welcomes+you!
  17. I'm no expert but best advice is give them a test drive and see what you like best. There are subtle differences between versions and I don't know enough anorak stuff to tell you what's what. What I will say is, You will hear a lot about ringland failure on the 2.5's. Whilst in my opinion it's a fair amount of scaremongering there is some truth to it. Whilst this was an issue with a small percentage of cars it was down to people putting too much power into the standard engine, poor maintainence, bad mapping or ragging the nuts out of the car. If the car your looking is well maintained, well set up and hasn't had it by now then as long as you maintain it properly there's no reason it shouldn't carry on. If the engine has been rebuilt then as long as it was done properly again no issues. Although it would be wary of a rebuilt engine and would want a proper inspection before buying. Don't get blinded by the rally look stickers on cars, do the proper checks and if poss get a local Subaru specialist to do an inspection it rather the RAC/AA Being from Surrey you are lucky in that there lots of scoob specialist in the area. Dan at Surrey Subaru specialists is very good There is also TFS, GRD, Jolly Green Monster (one of the best mappers in the country) Proven Subaru (Dealer) just off the top of my head. I would recommend you join up at http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk/forums/index.php It's my local club aswell and they are a great bunch of guys who are all local to Surrey. We meet every 2nd Sunday of the month at the Fairmile pub in Cobham. Your more than welcome to pop along Sccob or not.

  21. Got some Padig rear break pads from eurocarparts for under £25. No point paying £60+ for EBC's on the back.
