  1. Looked at it through the window. May go and get a takeaway in a bit.
  2. The bolts I've bought are for stock Subaru wheels, so are too small for the OZ wheels :( got some more on order so will have a set of black ones up for grabs.
  3. Tom check you messages :)
  4. Send cusco scooby wagon http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/user/1114-cusco-scooby-wagon/ a PM he recons callipers and may have a spare.
  5. Yeah just read that, for a quick tart up £100k+ isn't a bad budget :) The hatch article was a bit disappointing.
  6. Kart Boy Short Shifter and bushing kit. The Subaru STI Kartboy 6-speed shifter and bushings kit improves overall shifting and feel. This shifter is made from 4130 chromoly steel and shortens throw by about 40 percent. Installation time takes approximately 1 hour. Features • Short throw shifter and bushings • TIG welded 4130 Chromoly Steel • Shortens throw by approx 40%
  7. good info thanks Jay. Im gonna grab a copy on my way home.
  8. Face book is like when you see some one from your old school in the street. You know you have the chat then end it with " we must go out for a beer sometime" you never do though.
  9. picked the car up at lunch with the new brakes fitted, £250 lighter though :( It seems that Subaru changed the way they attach the calliper to the car. on the classics the bolt went through the caliper and into the hub, on the later cars with the STI/Brembo brakes the bolts go through the hub and into the ally caliper. You would have thought that the engineers would know Steel and Ally don't mix, or that they would have fitted steel Helicoils as standard. You know just so it doesn't cost owners £200+ everytime they change the Discs.
  10. Hi bazza it's the Fairmile, Portsmouth Road, Cobham, Surrey, KT11 1BW They have a resturant aswell so you can book a table to eat. Surrey Scoobies meet there monthly every 2nd sunday of the month from 1pm.
  11. Yeah did think of Plastic plates How much are they these days? I was going to use paper so we can just dble sided sticky tape them, saves removing the plates, I've seen a few cars leaving the shows with show plates still attached :D don't think the local bobbies would have been too forgiving as the pull you over
  12. I want to make up some show plates for Jap fest and need a decent sized version of the logo. I'm going to make them from Paper and print off front and rear, so we can put them on the cars at the club stand. Also this will mean you reg doesn't get plastered all over the interweb from people taking pics. this is too small to enlarge to number plate size :(
  13. What did WRC spares say about the wheels out of interest?
  14. Yeah I know what you mean, however I remember seeing gold wheels on black Porsches' and Smokey and the Bandits firebird long before the WRC cars, plus I am biased having just got gold wheels :D
  15. On my classic Impreza in the past I've paid £300 inc parts, and this was done at my house on the driveway. Just been quoted £100 + Parts (Cambelt, Followers and Tensioner) normally around £160-£200 depending on where you get them from. So again thats about £300 by an independant Subaru Specalist. For a Main dealer I would expect its nearer your £450. I would see if you can take it to an independant Subaru Specalist who knows how to do it without taking half the car apart.
  16. thats good means as the owner you dont have to buy the ecutek licence @£500 :D
  17. Welcome to the club :)
  18. Send the pic to Prodrive and get the answer from the preverbial horse's mouth?
  19. As far as I am aware all the WRC wheels were oz either Branded OZ racing or Sparco. The only other wheels I can think of are the BBS fitted to the early impreza's and 22b, please correct me if wrong.
  20. Just bought ebay nuts, so by the weekend my nuts will be Black :)
  21. Ouch!!!! :o £80 far too much ££'s imho. The ones I were looking at were £25 I guess they are made to a price, but at £25 a pop I'd replace then every year if they get manky.
  22. Anyone had experince with the Hex Wheel nuts? was looking to replace the old grubby lockers and thought these may be an idea as pretty much every wheel nut is a locker. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111094728185?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1975wt_1037
