  1. Bit late sorry about that, And quite messy, the back and white ones at the top of pic run to the dash and the rest have just been vampire clipped off the rest of the lighting loom. So the black is ground and the white is live, (switched) and looks like it clips into the standard reverse light so I guess that the bulb was changed and the feed taken. There was a tow bar installed so most of it is useless. At the dash end I have a switch on the panel above your knee and it feeds off the ign live and the lights plus a ground Hope it helps
  2. Since I've had her I reckon, 3 years, mines a 97 so the piston skirts are pants and I get sooo much slap. Had it mapped in feb so I guess if anything was seriously wrong they'd have picked it up on the cans My mechanic isn't too worried but you know how it is !
  3. Cheers mate, I know when I start her up everyone sucks their teeth and says 'ooooh sounds cranky' trying to wind me up I suspect, once it's warm doesn't sound too bad. It was over fueling massively for 7 years so that can't have helped the bores much haha.
  4. Haha I love the paranoia ! Slight increase in temps today ment it wasn't as bad but it's not doing my confidence any good, do I drop 2-3k in a rebuild engine or take my chances on a car coming up to 100k for 4-5k
  5. What mileage was on the engine ? Just curious as mine's between 130-150k and am weighing up my options
  6. You'll need to use an image hosting site if your on a pc if on tapatalk you can insert them using the menu system
  7. Lights should be fine as it's set up for the same side of road, the testing station would have failed it if they were out of alignment
  8. I'm the most paranoid ! This week my gearbox has stopped going into gear, and along with the slap I'm at my wits end
  9. Yeah but it's a higher wattage for fog bulb, sorry got a bit busy at work I'll have a look later if I get time

Can you get just the flag ? I have the pole bag & ground spike, may save some pennies
  12. Maybe start another thread &gauge interest/numbers what sizes we'd all like
  13. You'll have to check out what spring rates are on the rear our you'll end up with a saggy !Removed! again due to the foz weighing more than the wrx. Some people fit 2" spacers inbetween the tops and chassis, not sure how that works though There's loads of info over on forester.org about what parts are direct fits and how to cure the sag with wrx parts. Pedders do a lowering kits specific to the foz. Depends on how low you wanna go !
  14. Nice ! Matt's been looking at bringing a car in himself, what kind of ball park figure was the import cost, If you don't mind me asking? Mine was done By the previous owner/importer looks like the feed was taken from the steering wheel then run along the floor and to the light cluster, I'll have a look at dinner
  15. Hello welcome looks nice, Are you importing yourself? Mine has the reverse light fog mod, I'll try and chase the wiring back
  16. This is what mine sounds like when cold https://youtu.be/DR4n80tLbBI
  17. Nah don't think they do it's only the pistons rattling around when cold, I'll post up a vid of mine should make you feel a bit better, does it go away when warm ? Have a look for subaru rod knock on ytube to see what that sounds like !

  20. 34mpg average this weekend whoop !
  21. Hi mate, mine slaps like it's going to jump out the engine bay. But mines a my97 with 130k on and the 97 cars have the worst reputation for doing it, the piston skirt design was changed after. Car uses no oil at all and I've put full & semi synthetic in over the last couple of years, At 42k I wouldn't expect yours to slap too much. What oil are you using & any mods done have you had the belts changed yet ? Could be the belt tensioner if you look on YouTube there's vids showing it makes a knocking noise when worn
  22. Hehe I don't Co ordinate much as everyone left my area ! There's a company somewhere down south that does a proper job, they take your car for a couple of days steam clean the underside dry and apply etc. It's not cheap about 500 ! But it lasts and is a worthwhile investment, whoever did mine did such a good job that the 1st time my mechanic looked under it he commented on how well it's held up and looks rust free. I had mine mapped as it was over fueling due to running on lower octane, i'm now getting alot more mpg 40 quid got me 250 miles this weekend of hard driving, before map it would have got halft the mileage , also slight increase in power and lots more torque.
  23. Yep that's the ones I thought you were on about. They should be easy enough to get hold of, deffo make a paint mark on them and the leg then at least you'll know they are back there and there abouts,
  24. I take it you mean the two smallish ones that attach the strut to the hub ? The ones the front are cambered, not sure about the rears, but you need to mark the position of them before removing. Chances are if you buy them you won't use them and if you don't you know they'll shear off ! Just soak them in plenty of wd or similar for a few days should be reet !
